New DVC Annual Pass and Fastpass Plus: when can I sign up for Fastpasses?

I am traveling in the fall and will use a new annual pass purchased through DVC. Last time I bought one of these passes, you got a voucher and got your pass at the parks. Is that still how they work? If so, is there anything I need to know about getting Fp+ in advance? Can I get them, or do I have to wait until the pass is activated? I am staying on property.

You can either get an exchange certificate (aka voucher) or will call confirmation number, either of these can be linked to MDE to allow advance FP+ selections.

For either delivery method, you would still need to exchange for the actual pass at WDW. The exchange should not affect any made FP+ selections.

Once linked, 30 days in advance if no resort reservation, 60 days in advance with a resort reservation.
