New Dreams Come True Dinner at Cinderella's Castle

Anybody going to the new dinner tommorrow? I'm curious to see how it goes.

Thanks. Looking forward to hearing the reviews. I'm planning for our upcoming July trip. :)

I booked this as a surprise last-night dinner to celebrate my DD's 12th birthday - I think it will be really special. Will post reviews when I get back (mid-March). I think I was pretty lucky to be able to book it only 6 weeks out - I guess not too many people know about it yet. princess:

I agree, I am heading there with my 15 yo princess and she can't get a wand? Wonder if I ask if she can get one.. after all she is a princess too! :confused3

I'd like to take my DD this weekend for dinner (I know I know, SO last minute!!) for her 15th BD. I guess I"m confused about the dinner events, what Magical Moment and glittering event? And the Fairy Godmother is the only character?

If I can get it, I think I'll do it. I'm trying for Sunday, which is the Super Bowl, but also EMH so we'll see!

I'm confused - no wands or swords for dinner? Will CInderella be there for the picture? I'm thinking of booking this for our last night (instead of 1900 Park Fare) since we will have done the "princesses" in Norway earlier in the week. But for $25 per child I hope they at least get the souvenier wand or sword.

I agree with the previous posters and the older children getting a sword a wand. I would be paying morefor my kids as they are 10 and 13 but I know they would want a memento from the castle - just for fun and after all, you are at WDW. Everyone is a kid again. My DD definately thinks she is a princess and DS loves any kind of sword or medival lookng toy. It's just his thing. Maybe they would if you asked. Can someone let us know as more info comes to light. WOuld also like to know about the Major Domo pie as that looks amazing and we are considering the castle when we go next January.

I am just glad they are giving them something. I am also glad that large parties get more than 1 photo pack. I was worried we were going to need to scan ours when we got home.

:thumbsup2 I agree. Just yesterday no one was getting a wand or sword and we didn't know if more then 6 guest would get more packages etc... now most are getting more for what they were willing to pay for just yesterday.

But some will still complain and find it not fair.

We are eating Saturday night. I will have my laptop and will try and post what the deal is.

Can't wait to hear your review, Lisabarr!!!!!!!

We will all owe you one Lisa :thumbsup2 !!

If I am not being to forward maybe you could research if they really are only giving "wands" to 9 and under. That will cause WW3 in my house and Major hurt feelings!!

TIA!
Sue

OMG, thank goodness I found this thread!! I haven't read much of this board since our Oct. trip and was putting off the May planning for a while. I called this morning and booked the lunch for 6. Unfortunately I just read there's only 1 photo package for 1-6 people, so I'm having to call and break our group up now! Absolutely crazy... :sad2:

I will try and find out the wand situation. We are going for dinner and it doesn't say if kids at dinner will get a wand/sword?? For as much as we are paying, I hope so!!!

:rotfl2: Hey, even I want a wand or sword-lol! Thank you for the updates, we're going in June for our 2 year anniversary- can't wait!

Someone post when you find out what the "sparkling effects" are. That has be totally confused. We are taking a group of 12 to lunch here in June.

We booked this for dinner on Tuesday - I will give a review when we get back :)

I just booked a dinner for 5 on 2/27 and they still get the wands and swords. I asked about my 11 year old son getting one and told them his heart would be broken if he couldn't they said they didn't think it would be a problem. So keep your fingers crossed

Oh I hope they get the wands/swords for dinner. We are eating there in May and my DS will only be 10, so I hope they give him a sword.

Please let us know when you return.
