I know the feeling, Disbug. I posted early this morning- went to submit and our internet went down... lost the post and was too much in a hurry to get my errand done to repost.

Will be looking for trip report #2! :hyper:

I have a question, :earsgirl: if a person books the AP rate at the Swan can that be with a child ap? I wasn't sure if their rules were the same as the disney hotels.

Thanks! :wave2:

Oh, and......

GO RED SOX!!!!!!!!

H'mm, a thought provoking questionTigrlvspooh! I believe an AP is an AP is an AP. Unless there is some rule I don't know of that says the AP holder's name must be on the reservation. We'll have to have some expert input on that.

GO YANKEES! :earseek:

I just needed to walk away from the baseball game - my nerves are jangled!!! The 4th inning was a whopper!

JLo and Ben are at Fenway.

On topic (just to calm me): I would believe as Disbug said an AP is an AP.

Things are finally settled-yippeeeeeeeeeeee!
Thanks to GAIL in the front office we are finally in a fabulous and blissfully QUIET newly renovated room and we are still able to use CL and the fabulous Thabo was there tonight, very modest indeed.

I feel we are finally able to relax and enjoy- the pool here is wonderful and refreshing-I think its so nice that they offer balls to play with in the pool free of charge!! The waterfall is so pretty and makes for a relaxing atmosphere.

By the way Mickeys not so scary halloween party was so much fun!!!!!! Way better than I expected.

Thankyou everyone for all your support and advice- I appreciate it more than you know.

Have a great night.

IT'S A GREAT SATURDAY!!

Hope all of you are enjoying the afternoon. It's DH's BD today, and we have been celebrating all day! We are also going to "PARTY" tomorrow with some friends. We will be serving Sirloin & chicken breast Fajitas, with grilled peppers/onions, sour cream and cheddar cheese...and the all-important SALSA! We have some nice gifts ready...and DD and I are making a GIANT Choc-chip COOKIE as the cake! Mmmmm! It's a fun-filled weekend around here. :grouphug:

It's the bottom of the ninth as I type this post. Trying to keep my mind off this game is TOUGH! Oops...it's OVER!

GO YANKEES!

susie2~Another SILLY Game us Americans LOVE! When you say "football", (As mouseteacher posted) do you really mean "Soccer"? Yes...the Rivalry is "friendly" (AHEM), and there is truly NO animosity towards the opposing Team/Fans! (LOL) Have a great weekend! :wave2:

#1hockeymom ~LOL, Deb...you would have thought I phoned the "construction crew" directly (the noise ceased so promptly)! :genie: LIKE MAGIC! Of course...we're talking an Exec. suite...a LOT of Duckets lost if they refused to abide by my request. It was SO nice resuming my sleep w/o so much as a peep. Later...I noticed a phone message when I awoke. There was a delivery to my room of fresh fruit and cookies, with bevs. This was during the "second" part of our stay, after we returned to the Dolphin from our cruise and Key West. After this...everything was heavenly.

*Rangers-Smangers!* :rotfl: You are too funny. (Sorry, Lou...it's just the QUIP I'm laughing at!).

Enjoy your weekend, relax...and savor the FALL!

BluOrchid2~Howdy fellow DISer (WL)! So glad to read you are trying the Swan. You will surely enjoy your visit there. Disbug offered some fabulous options for dining. Have you received your AP Mickey Monitor? If not...contact guest services and be sure they mail you an updated issue ASAP. I am a PAP holder, and LOVE these monitors. They always include some wonderful information, plus updated discounts available around the world. Be sure to stop by Disney guest services (in the SWAN/DOLPHIN) for a new "jacket/holder" for your AP. It will list all the updates/discounts available during your visit. Have a wonderful time planning your stay.

TigrLvsPooh~You are able to book a discount with an AP, and it doesn't matter if it is an adult or child. An AP is an AP, is an AP! :upsidedow Enjoy the discount!

Disfan~Thanks so much for the wonderful update! Please, tell Thabo "Dreamflight" says hello! (And Denise and MAMA T too!). I'm so glad Gail worked all the "kinks" out for you. She's not too shabby in that department...and when you mentioned her name in your previous post, I KNEW you were in good hands.
Have a wonderful time...and Make lots and lots of MEMORIES in the MAGIC! ^_^

WW52 -- How about those cubs?????

To the rest of you --- happy Saturday night.

Lauren

Evening all! It is 11:25 and believe it or not, I just woke up thinking it was about 5am. Now I can't get to sleep!

YEAH DISFANRN! I am so glad that you are in a lovely quiet room as you deserve! Please say hello to Thabo for my family and me if you see him again! We were just talking about him the other day!

Lisa>> I just know an honorary brother is waiting to get me back for my Rangers comment! :) Go Wings!

Good night everyone!
Debbie

PS If Disbug, Dreamflight, and Mouseteacher say it is an AP... it is an AP!

GOOD MORNING, ALL! Well #1 HM, I must have been in your dream, cause it woke me up, too! It's almost 5 AM here so, I decided to jump up all wide awake now and see what's happening on the boards after that STRESSFUL game last night! Whew! Fists were a flyin', weren't they? TOO much testosterone on that field last night! Glad of the outcome for the YANKS (sorry Red Soxers!).. but this really does FEEL like the WORLD SERIES already with these two teams battling it out. I'd much rather have a close exciting playoff and series, than a boring " 4 to zip" one! (Here my DH disagrees! He'd rather the Yankees take 'em, 4 in a row!) Well, since I'm up... I'll make some coffee and see if I can re-start Day 2 of my "Disbug Goes Solo" saga!

disfanrn! YOU GO GIRL! I just know you will start de-stressing now that you are happy with your room! Wasn't that MNSSHP awesome? I could not believe it either, since I had never been. WILL go back, however! Have a great time!

:wave2: Good morning, all. Like Disbug, I am up early and catching up on last night's posts. I finished watching the game and needed to watch some calming TV shows. I agree with Disbug about too much testosterone on the field. Our household was very quiet during the last 2 innings and post game. DS went over to a friend's house and he stayed over with 2 other friends.

:Pinkbounc to DisfanRN - I just knew the S/D staff would come through! Yes, indeed, the grotto pool is wonderful. I also enjoyed the quiet pool at the Swan this past trip. I remember Denise from our CL stay at the Dolphin - she is a a sweetheart.

ww52 and Lauren~ Good for the Cubs! I hope they make it all the way. I'm not too sure about the Sox after yesterday. :(

good morning, df99, yes i do mean soccer but we call it football here!! i have found the baseball on our television its on really late at night so i am going to tape it tonight and watch it tommorow so i can understand what you are all talking about, from what you are all saying it sound really exciting, our football matches are nothing to get excited about, very boring though the boys love it, hope your dh has a lovely birthday, and hope you all have a lovely day susie :wave2:

I just hope they can get through the rest of the series peacefully. What an example they are setting for the young fans in the stands! I love the Red Sox and I want them to win but I'm having a lot of trouble "cowboying up" this morning.

Someone fill me in on the sox and yankees...a bench-clearing brawl? Happens way too often. I was watching Mizzou beat Nebraska....we are on to football in these parts!:(
I have Columbus Day off....any other teachers off tomorrow? I am so excited! Need some extra time for working on certification.
Have a great Sunday.....:wave2:

I have to agree with you, Joanne! ::yes::

ozzie, it was one stupid event after another. Starting with an inside pitch close to the head of a Yankee by Pedro. Manny didn't help with his over reaction to a Roger pitch and... then it went on the entire fourth inning. Pretty distasteful all around -- particularly when Zimmer at 72 years of age charges Pedro fists flaying and Pedro (horrors) tosses him to the ground. Then, at the end of the game, in the Yankees bull pen- an alleged attack on the groundskeeper in the Y bullpen by the Yankees. He, the groundskeeper, claimed he was just waving the towel to keep the fans rallying. (Police are investigating - the groundskeeper assigned to the Yankees bullpen yesterday is a local high school teacher.) However, IMHO, did he need to wave the towel in the Yankees bull pen -- but then again, did the Yankees need to attack him for waving a towel?!!? My students behave better at recess! :earseek:

Yes, I have tomorrow off! :hyper: Plan to switch from my spring/summer wadrobe to my winter clothes -- out come the wools, sweaters and turtlenecks. It makes me sad b/c I am sooo much a summer person.

DF~ I'll be right over for the party. What time is good? ;)
Happy Birthday to DF's DH!

Mouseteacher, when did the Red Sox pitcher hit the Yankee player square in the side? The replays had the pitcher pointing at his head (re: "next time, I'm aiming for the head".) *Or maybe he was referring to "this is for that time Roger Clemments (sp?) hit our guy in the head"?

However, when Roger Clemments threw that high pitch over the plate, bedlam broke out! (Later, the Red Sox after reviewing this on tape admitted they had over-reacted and it wasn't that near the batter.)

No hard feelings! I just wish the "guys" would play for the sport and play like sports! (My team included!)

*Didn't know that about the guy in the bullpen... I just assumed he was an inebriated (sp?) fan that had jumped out of the stands!

ON TOPIC: THE SWAN DOLPHIN POOLS ARE HEATED SO EVEN IF YOU HAVE TO WEAR A SWEATER DURING THE DAY, YOU CAN STILL JUMP IN THE POOL LATER IN THE DAY WITHOUT TURNING INTO A POPSICLE! Or....better yet, use the Hot Tub!

Like Mouseteacher, we want to wish a HAPPY, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO DF99's DH! MAY WE RAISE A GLASS OF CHEER, BE IT SODA, WINE, OR BEER!

Pedro was not having his best game yesterday. His pitches were not as in control as they normally are, especially his fast ball. There is no doubt in my mind that Pedro was aiming for the batter to send a warning to the players to back off the plate. I don't know if he was necessarily aiming for his head.

After this, Jorge Posada was yelling and swearing at Pedro. Pedro then told him that he'd hit HIM in the head.

Things were blown up out of proportion on both sides.

Like I said earlier, I hope things can continue peacefully. It may not be played at all today as it's raining in Boston right now.

On topic--Does anyone know when check-in time is at the Swan?

Thanks!

Joanne

Thanks to all the wonderful wishes for DH! He appreciates them, and sends his gratitude. :wave2:

What a terrible example these players are sending to young fans watching the game (And emulating their actions!). Baseball...is a Americas gentleman's game, and should be played with a bit more class. I was STUNNED by the events which occurred in yesterday's game. Depressing and humiliating. These teams need to remember, in the end...it's all a GAME. The best team, having the best time or fortune, wins. A GAME is something played in FUN. FUN....was absent yesterday. :(

I hope things change before they retake the field together. Maybe viewing these actions on tape...will wake them up. Hopefully. I LOVE the game, but not the juvenile and unwelcomed violent antics.

Susie~how nice of you to tape and watch the games! If you need any info or pointers...feel free to ask! ::yes::

mouseteacher~Enjoy your day off! Be sure to leave a T & pair of SHOTS for the upcoming INDIAN SUMMA!

CUBS are doing GREAT!

Happy SUNDAY! DD & DH are playing Virtual PING~PONG on the T.V. (one of DH's gifts). They are having a FAB time of it! We made DH a GIANT CHOCOLATE CHIP/WALNUT COOKIE for a B.D. Cake. He was pleasantly surprised, and thrilled with the cards and gifts. BBQ is happening this afternoon. I must go and prepare.

If you have a chance...read the BUYER'S REMORSE thread. I found it inspiring, and left some posts reflecting my take on the subject (which all of you whom KNOW me through my posts...know my position on this subject already).

The Mouseteacher Family just finished watching the Pats beat the NY Giants. Waiting for the "other" NY team to play us this evening - hope the results will be the same - a win not a brawl that is. It is pouring (the Patriots played in heavy rain) but weather forecasters claim it will taper to showers by game time. We'll see.

Sorry, Disbug, I can't use the pool unless the air temp is at least 85. ;) I am a wimp - I guess that's why I like S/D pool time in the summah... er... summer.

I'm back! Finally I am all setup and rocking at my new job. I think I went AWOL the last day I was at WDW in MAY! and then again after I had to give up the university laptop in OKC.

Well I'm back and ready to start having fun again. What's UP?

Glenn
