I WOULD VOTE FOR A BIRTHDAY DINNER AT THE JAPAN PAVILLION TEPPAN GRILL! The BIRTHDAY CAKE is a WHOLE ENTIRE SARA LEE Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream Frosting! (They'll even place it in a neat box for transporting back to your room!). The food is outrageously delicious...especially the SAN KAI (Lobster & Steak). If you have never dined here...GO FOR IT!

disnurse ~ I forgot to add my HAPPY 40 something or other BIRTHDAY to you!

Hey, DF and ozzie, how do you do those wonderful pictures? I need to learn that too! :smooth:

Happy Birthday from me too! ! ! Hope your day is magical--and at WDW it is sure to be! Enjoy your dinner, wherever you go!

I was wondering if I could get the ultimate park hopper pass if i booked the d/s resort on priceline.

It is called a Length of Stay Pass and you can purchase it at Guest Relations at the Dolphin. 4,5,7 day Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus passes can be purchased at Disney stores before you go to save a few $.

ALREADY??? Where DOES the time go? (LOL) Thanks for the notice, Trekker! It's SO easy to get caught-up in the news/tips/info on this day-to-day Swan/Dolphin thread...I hardly notice the pages passing. :p

well my last night at the dolphin. It has been fabulous We are already planning next years trip. Club level has been great. The hotel is jammed packed today, huge difference from yesterday.
Few things to note: club level must pay resort fee per front desk. Renovations have not begun, when i caled they said in march they had begun-go figure.
We have just got in from the grotto pool and are heading for dinner and smashmouth.

DF ~ Will you keep this thread going? Pleeeeassse! 9 pages will pass quickly.

There are such wonderful people on this thread and I feel we have been helpful to those who are thinking about S/D stays. I really only post here (and DR) and sometimes on the CB.

Tomorrow will be a busy day and I probably won't be able to check the DIS until evening so I wanted to wish you all a Happy Easter. I hope the Easter Bunny is good to all of you.

Happy Easter and/or Passover to you all

Disnurse - a very belated Birthday and sorry that this is your last night at the Dolphin - it is a very special place - can't wait to go back in October!
Mouseteacher - enjoy your week off too!
Lisa - of course, we will begin again. Can't let this wonderful Swan/Dolphin board end without a new beginning. Caroline

Absolutely! As Caroline wrote...we can NOT let the fun end without a NEW BEGINNING. I agree with you 100% , plus. I too, mainly post here...and enjoy the comraderie we have all established over the past couple of years. :) Some of the BEST the Dis has to offer...post regularly HERE! ;)

HAPPY EASTER to ALL!

May the Easter Bunny make all your Spring wishes come true. DD still LOVES the thrill and folly of the "hunt", and also the whimsical humor associated with the "Eve before the visit" antics. We spread newspaper in front of the door...sprinkle FLOUR evenly across...and await the BUNNY PRINTS we have captured with our stealth technique! LOL. :p It's ALL FUN & GAMES around here.

I obtained our 17 lb. Whole Honeybaked Ham today....also, fresh cinnamon apple sauce, cheddar potatoes, broccoli~cheese rice, biscuits and Junior's Apple Pie Cheesecake for dessert! Anyone stopping by for a plate? ;)

Disnurse...Enjoy your last eve in the MAGIC! Looking ahead (planning future trips) will ease the pain associated with leaving. Thank you, again...for taking time to SHARE your experiences and memories with all of us. ;)

*Saying a few special prayers for Laci Peterson, Connor...and her family. God works in mysterious ways. May she and her son find everlasting peace and comfort in his kingdom.

God Bless all of you & your loved ones on this very special day.

Good morning - I did sneak in a minute to check (couldn't resist) before I start to make my dessert (tiramisu).

Thanks, DF, for our "new beginning". Our comraderie is a bright ray of sunshine in my day! Your Easter meal sounds delicious. If I weren't 3000 miles away, I'd stop by with plate in hand! ;)

Caroline ~ please enjoy your vacation week too. I feel that after xx years (too many to think about LOL) on a school schedule - since I was 5 years old - there is a biological rhythem to my life and the rhythem screamed - VACATION TIME! I was very ready. :D

Mouseteacher - have you ever tried the tiramisu from Mike's Pastry in the North End? To die for!!!! I have never attempted to make it on my own, but it is one of my favorites. I will be having Key Lime pie, but will be thinking of tiramisu!!!

Happy Easter to all........one more day of vacation for me, then back to school. How time flies.
I second Mouseteacher......keep this going!
DG......what a delicious meal....and the pictures make my mouth water.

Which discount is better: the AP discount or the Teacher rate?

NEW ANNUAL PASS HOLDER DISCOUNT

To Qualify: Must be an annual or seasonal passholder, and will need to show the pass at time of registration for the discount. Rate Schedule is based upon availability. Currently, only sold through local office (800-227-1500) available via other channels (Dreams Unlimited, etc.)currently. Those currently holding other rate schedule reservations are certainly allowed to switch to new plan, as long as discount is available in system.

If you are having problems with the late check out part of the AP rate please follow these directions- It is built as part of the rate schedule with its own code (2pm).Please ask for a reservations sales teamleader if the desk ever is confused on particulars of a program that you know of.
If you want to check in advance, just ask to make sure the late check out is noted in "special service codes"which it should be. This also goes for the room upgrade or other things associated with the rate.

New info on discounts

The Swan and Dolphin will now align with the Disney resorts if the way you book your ressies. If you make a ressie and your reservation starts in LOW season, it will stay in low season even if the rate goes up because of season change.

BENEFITS:

50% Discount off of published RACK Rate

A "One Category" bonus upgrade (example, the price in the system for a Resort View room is actually 50% off of a Lake View room, the category below the one that you are reserving)

PLUS, late check out extension until 2PM on the date of departure! I decided to add both perks to the program as double bonus.

Below are sample available date ranges as of this very minute, which will be subject to change in the future. (at either Swan, Dolphin, or both) The dates are inclusive of the end date. Up to three rooms may be reserved at the AP rate per caller. These date ranges also currently apply to the Entertainment Club rates, as well as most other discounts if you are not a Passholder.

New dates as of 8/07/2002
Following are the dates that discount rate schedules are currently available at EITHER the Walt Disney World Swan or Walt Disney World Dolphin. Most dates are open at BOTH properties.

anne - No, I haven't tried that tiramisu. Getting into Boston these days with the Big Dig is too much of a hassle! The tiramisu I'm making is called an "easy" tiramisu. It's all made and chilling n the refrig. It was really easy to make. I hope it tastes good! I am not a gourmet cook so everything I make must be basic ingredients and simple prep.

I believe the teacher, nurse, gov rate is the best there is.

Leave tomorrow for the Dolphin! Hoping to get my room requests for King Corner Room - I'll post and let you know how my request goes as well as answer any questions once I check-in.
