Sounds like you're having fun! Maybe the crowsa are all day-trippers?? Anyway, when you get a sec, how is Muppets different?? :-)

Enjoy your trip!;)

hi again,
just back from a swim at the grotto pool and now we are heading over to boardwalk to check out the action. Just to rub it in...DH and DS are down getting some fudge, i'm holding out for icecream later on. Tomorrow we are going to typhoon lagoon and then to "the other parks" friday and sat. Smash mouth is playing there, one of DS's favorite bands, its his vacation too so i guess we can endure it for one night.

Disnurse.........who doesn't like "All Star" (from Shrek)?!
Beader....... This is for you.........hope you have as good a safari as we did:

You should try the Tex-Mex in a tube, (cheese spread mixed with chicken salsa entree topped with tabasco and crumbled crackers...yummy!), or the Embed burger (Ted Koppel's fav), hamburger patty, barbeque sauce and cheese spread...heat 'n serve! Mmmm :p Seafood Jambalaya, beef enchilada and mashed potatoes are still at the top of the list. There are 24 varieties in all, providing 1,250 calories of balanced nutrition (w/shelf life of 3 years @ 80 F). Spiced apples is one of my FAVS! Are you hungry yet? :p

Lol - Mmmmmmm-Yum! I wonder if we'll be seeing a change in menu at the "Buffeteria" this year?

Happy to see the recurring posts from the "inside," as they continue to remind us of the fond memories we create each time we visit. Did anyone bring their digital camera for some live shots?

Beader, glad you got a chance to meet Mama T. What a sweet soul and so much a part of the Disney Legend. The moment you walk into the RBC, you ARE family.

Here's Mama!

Well I'm just about packed. We leave at 3:45 AM Friday to catch 7 AM flight. We'll be at the Royal Pacific first before checking in at the Dolphin. I CAN"T WAIT. I love getting these reports from the World.
Disnurse We'll be at that other park for the Smashmouth concert also. DSs will be going so I guess we'll be there too.

Sandy,
Your link worked fine! Thank you for the great pictures of your DD's! The girls look like they are having a great time seeing and doing all the fun things at WDW! Have a wonderful time making memories with your family at the Dolphin!

Beader & Disnurse
Glad you guys are having such a wonderful time.

Beader
The pic's are wonderful, & your girls are so pretty.

I hope the rest of your trips are magical.

disnurse...The cars in the lot are mostly "props" (LOL), so pay no attention to them. They are there all summer...and I NEVER see enough people to account for their presence! HeHe... :p

Oh...you WOULD have to mention the "fudge" (any particular FLAVOR/VARIETY....texture, etc.?!?)! I could use a small "sliver" now and again. Yummmm. How about the ice cream? Where are you planning to indulge? I LOVE the fountain (all homemade), with sprinkles and fudge, maybe even extra whip (the WHOLE nine yards!). ;)

Smashmouth? (You can hook-up with mom23guys2...as she'll be there also!) DD enjoys this band too. She's attending a SUM41 concert this week, and has met the band members in the past. She has signed posters and pics with them, Blink182, Green Day, etc. Whatever the antithesis of the "adults", usually seems to lure/attract the teens/youth! I too, am present at most of these venues. DD's adoration of this music & these bands is nothing foreign. If this is the height of her rebellion...I'm extremely "fortunate", indeed. :p (*NOTE: She also enjoys classical, soft rock and plays guitar/bass/etc. drums in her H.S. Steel Drum band! LOL) :)

beader...I read in my MM they "spiced-up" TOT! More drops and hoists than ever before. Gut-wrenching, to be sure. I too, love the thrill rides, and revel in the action on the RR. Nice G-force on the take-off. :p I am sad to hear the Great Movie Ride is still down. It's one of my fav, and better be operating when I arrive in a couple months! We always enjoy the Prime Time cafe. Thanks a mint for the favorable take on the PI clubs. I've always wanted to visit the CC & AC...but have been reluctant in the past. We mostly loiter around outside w/friends, and or stroll around the vicinity. This summer, we'll be sure to take a peek. Did you see Maj. Nelson & Jeannie? (@ cocoa beach!). :p MAMA T is the BEST! This pics and link are FAB...Enjoy the AK park, and keep posting~Thanks!

madge...airline employees, such as FA's, receive extremely discounted rates at the Disney-owned props. I know they also receive such at the SW props, as they usually stay in SF @ the Westin St. Francis. ;) IT's definitely worth checking-out. :)

Happytrails...Mmmmm, Tubbi's! That could very well be an "Embed Burger" he's holding! LOL. What a fantastic PIC of MAMA T! I surely hope you sent her a copy (or she sees this page), as that is a PERFECT image of her, capturing her "spirit" (she EXUDES MAGIC!). :)

Ozzie...GREAT PICS! I feel as if I'm on SAFARI (I can almost "smell" the dust). ;)

Mouseteacher...I too, have "held the keys to the kingdom" (so to speak) on several visits! ;) Especially LATE AUGUST, on a monday eve....when school begins in Florida. The parks are vacant, and main street abandoned. I've sat and looked UP the street towards the castle, with no one in "sight" to block my view. Amazing feeling. Truly...MAGICAL. It's everything I can do to stop myself from singing the theme from Cinderella! :p

To everyone IN the MAGIC...ENJOY! (*To mom23guys2...have a safe & pleasurable trip, and let us know when you've arrived). ;)

Sandy(beader)

Not only do your DD's look like they are having a blast, the weather looks great! Something about the sky in WDW, seems so much bluer to me...I don't know why!!!
It is 40 degrees in NJ, so I definitely enjoyed your pictures!
Hope you are having a fantastic trip!;)

What is the Lake View at the Swan?
What is the Lake View at the Dolphin?
What is the Standard View at the Swan?
What is the Standard View at the Dolphin?

Do you ever get balconies with any of these choices?

I had a balcony room - Room 8029 (8th floor, room 29 fyi) and it was a resort view - no, that just doesn't say it - it was a PERFECT VIEW. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

The big ball (Epcot ball) is straight ahead - boardwalk over to the right, Yacht and Beachclub over to the left - Illuminations in full view every night at 9 p.m.

So - now, over by my room, every other room is without a balcony - and has that "same" view - but frankly, I say spring for the balcony. IT opened up the room with the sunshine and fresh Florida air - I had a hard time talking myself into paying a little more for the balcony room - but it was totally worth it. It added immeasurably to our trip. I can't say enough good about it.

From my experience - you book balcony and get club privs....no resort fees and free food breakfast and 5-7 p.m.

NOTE: make sure they don't "upgrade" you to club level....just ask for room 8029 and ask for club privs. It's GREAT.

Who has been to the character breakfast on Sunday morning at the Dolphin? If you have, I'd like to hear(read) about it. What were the food offerings, how served, character interaction, etc? Do I need reservations? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!!
Donnie

OMG DF - here i bounce back to the boards and what do my eyes detect in your last post - Fudge!!! I mean - could i have come back at any better time? Indulge myself!!!

School has really taken a tremendous amount of my time lately, but now that we are on vacation, i am back to try and catch up. Trust me - you will see me a lot this coming week. We hope that you all have a wonderful Easter and/or Passover.

Hello!!
Animal Kingdom this morning. That place is just amazing. It's so remarkable that they could make a place like that. I am sure it is what a Safari is like. Crowds were medium today. The Lion King show was great also. I am not sure about the Dinosuar ride. I was actually scared. We went on the rapids, and got slightly wet, it felt good. The weather was great during the day.

MGM in the evening. Rained off and on. Saw Fantasmic-10:00 show. That was an expereince I will remember always. We all loved it. My 16 year old daughter said it brought tears to her eyes durijng the "Princess floats". We are thinking of doing it again tommarrow night. Tommarrow is our last day. We want to go to EPCOT in the morning, andback to MGM to see "Stich" This week has gone so fast!!! Good nite all!!!

Sandy

beader ~ the hardest part of being in WDW is making time go slowly - it always seems to me that a week in Disney zooms whereas a week in ordinary time doesn't! I'm with your DD regarding Fantasmic. The first time I saw it, I cried throughout the whole performance. The music, the visuals, Mickey triumphant at the top of the mountain --- I'm getting goosebumps just writing about it! Enjoy your last day and hold close to your heart the memories you are making.

lovingthemouse ~ glad to see you back on board. I, too, am on vacation and feel I really need this rest. The last few weeks at school have been busy and somewhat stressful so this break is coming at a good time.

Good morning all,
we are having a great time. Typhoon lagoon was a blast, we got there at opening so had plenty of great seats to choose from. It got pretty crowded as the day went on. We ate at rainforest cafe in downtown disney then strolled the boardwalk last night. The crowds seem to be picking up but not nearly as much as last year.
