New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

While the size of the lounge spaces aren’t any different than the Wish, I feel like for Scat Cat Lounge, Haunted Mansion Parlor, and Periscope Pub they utilized the available space better, at least from the initial reveals.
I definitely noticed that too, it seems a bit bigger in videos and pictures. I’m sure it’s not, and just layout

For Scat Cat Lounge having the bar where on the Wish it’s the entryway for Nightingales in that corner adds a little to the functional space. It also looked like they may have a bar on the other side of the lounge in the great hall.

Same with Periscope Pub, having the curved bar in the back of the bar instead of the long side bar that Keg&Compass has gives the appearance of more space without actually expanding it.

Haunted Mansion Lounge just has a cooler look than Hyperspace Lounge and I couldn’t tell if it had any more seating than before, just a better themed vibe. I liked Hyperspace as a Star Wars fan but sometimes it feels almost too sterile for Star Wars in theming.

I did see one video that showed a bar in the Grand Hall of Scat Cat Lounge, so you are correct

After having watched the media/influencers preview videos now all coming out, anyone else not a fan of change of theme for the Atrium from the purely Agrabah inspired dark blue and gold scheme in the original artist renderings to this current look? It feels like they can't decide between wanting the Atrium to be themed to Aladdin/Agrabah or Jungle/Explorer's Lodge, so they mixed both and the end result is a wooden looking Agrabah, which cheapens the effect of the theming IMO - like you have wooden panels and railings up against Arabian night style ornaments and designs just doesn't seem quite right. They should have just committed to one style.

I think my one concern for the HM parlor is it's always going to be so crowded in there and be hard to find seats and enjoy

Probably will do what they did for the star wars bar on the wish, you will have to get a reservation to enter. I plan on trying late at night to get in when kids aren’t allowed.

Didn't realize it will be age restricted at some point in the day.. Good to know

I don’t know if I like this, Nightingales is the one true adult only place all day and now you get the noise from the atrium when you’re trying to chill and listen to the piano? Pass.

When I get to sail the Treasure, I plan on going during the shows. At that point I’ll have been on a b2b on the Wish AND the Destiny and have no need to see Seas the Adventure again.

From videos I’ve seen there’s glass doors separating the bar area in the grand hall and the interior of the Scat Cat Lounge. So the Lounge is still an enclosed space except when those doors are opened, which is no different than when guests filter in and out of the entryway for Nightingales.

Ooh from the video I saw it looked like one whole open area. If there are glass doors that changes my opinion.

Yeah it did look like glass doors

Right around the 1:14 mark on the video the bartender activates the sliding glass door so it should maintain separation

Maybe it's because we had time to digest it, but the IPs on the Treasure seem to be better implemented than they are/were on the Wish.

I haven't sailed the Wish, so I can't speak from personal experience, but just from the photos alone it looks like they learned some lessons.

That’s my takeaway. I sailed for a second time on the Wish this summer and off pictures and videos alone the theming has been taken up a notch on the Treasure. Same with space utilization improvements that appear to be the case.

Now I think there are still going to be many of the same concerns that folks have with the Wish class, but the Treasure definitely appears to have made improvements upon what was available to work with.

I sailed on the XC and felt like they just couldn’t decide on the atrium. I did think it looked very cheap. The lightening, stage, etc. reminded me of IASW cutouts.

It was certainly crowded on the very low capacity sailing I was on. I would rank this as the only thing on the ship as not to be missed.
