New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

Anyone else thinking that the Destiny is going to be sailing from Fort Lauderdale? PC already has Wish, Treasure, Fantasy sailing all the way through June 2026 leaving the Dream alone in Fort Lauderdale until May 2026, when it looks like she’ll do the EBTA.

I think the Wish will move down to Fort Lauderdale. Disney seems set on keeping the Fantasy in PC, which is fine by me. She's a very popular ship and you still need a Dream class there. Wish will probably continue the short Bahamas cruises.

I think the Dream going forward will basically do what the Magic used to do. Alternate between Europe and Florida. Maybe have her take over Galveston in the winter.

Treasure will do 7 night Caribbean from PC; Destiny will do 3-4 night Bahamas from PC; Fantasy will do 4-6 night Bahamas/Caribbean from PC. Wish will do 3-4 night Bahamas but in Fort Lauderdale. Adventure will be in Asia for the foreseeable future.

I have no idea what they'll do with the Magic. Either keep her out West for Mexico and Hawaii, or have her alternate between Galveston and San Diego.

Wonder will probably continue with her current sailings with little change.

The Wish is listed for sailings out of PC until June 2026. The Destiny is set to sail in 2025 meaning the only place she can go easily is PE... But I thought there was some sort of agreement with Port Canaveral that they would dock their three newest ships there. Can PE handle fueling the Destiny? I thought I had read something where that might have been an issue.

If I recall correctly the PE deal needs at least one ship full time and a second ship half the year (in Europe the other half)

Do we have any reason the think Destiny won't sail in 2025 (likely another Xmas sailing) and has been delayed?

You're probably right then. They've got to keep the Dream/Fantasy in PC along with the Wish class. Not only to hold up their end of the contract, but there is a segment that is going to prefer "old school" DCL that you get on the Dream and Fantasy.

Is the Destiny slotted for 3/4 night cruises? I’d be surprised if they wouldn’t keep a 3/4 night cruise ship in PC full time. Since that helps sell Park/Cruise packages, and Canaveral is an hour from Disney World. Fort Lauderdale probably would be good to have short cruises from as well, but I don’t think the synergy is quite there to make it a priority.

The Wish is still offering 3/4 nights out of PC till the end of May 2026.

The Dream is doing 3/4 night from PE Jan 2026 to the end of April 2026.

Destiny is supposed to sail in late 2025.

I didn’t notice the Dream had swapped to 3/4n cruises. I’d guess the Destiny might do a 5/5/4 rotation from PE then? I hope she does 7 nights though, anything else really does feel too short.

Destiny probably will do 5/5/4 then. I'm then assuming the Dream will go back to Europe in Summer 2026.

And I actually like the 5 nights. To me, 5-7 is the sweet spot but I know I'm in the minority in that opinion.

I’ve just looked and the Dream swaps to the 3/4 rotation on December 5th. I would guess Destiny then starts sailing around then.

Looks like the Dream is going back to Europe as her last cruise ends early May 2026. Fantasy is scheduled through June.

Any idea when booking will start for Destiny? And how do bookings on inaugural sailings work? Just like any other, or is there a special process? Thanks!

Are they increasing the number of concierge rooms? Feel like that would have been announced as the rooms would have had some sort of refreshment...

Think the Funnel suite idea is silly... but I get why they are going in that direction... How will the existing kids spaces be impacted on deck 5? I hope they are not shrunk to allow the teen space to be there, but I imagine that's what will happen. Also just feels like a mistake to put the teens in the same area as everyone else...

I have no horse in the race personally, and it will not impact my desire to book or not book the Disney Dream, although depending on what the concierge lounge takes away, that could persuade me perhaps to do less..

Also will the rainforest room be shrunk down to create more treatment rooms, another big question.

Still, nice to see that Disney is investing in this ship.

They are adding concierge rooms on deck 10... which is a deck I do not like being on because of the set up noise each morning but that is just me...

They are going to take Vibe and split it. Vibe has already been on deck 5 but now half of it will belong to the Edge kids. There are two entrances to Vibe currently (one is secret entrance on Deck 5 by the staterooms... I am really hoping that doesn't become the main entrance for one of the clubs, there is enough foot traffic up and down that hall as is). As a parent if I had an 11 yo I would want Vibe and Edge to have very separated entrances to minimize any mixing with the older kids. Edge was in a perfect spot where they weren't really around anyone but themselves.

I know as it was not every parent was happy that they lowered the age for oceaneers- having the tween set so close to the teens (even if the space is split) seems like a bad idea to me but what do I know?

Hi, can anyone update me on the theme of The Destiny, atrium character, aft character, etc.? Appreciate it so I can update page one. Thanks
