New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

Hi, can anyone update me on the theme of The Destiny, atrium character, aft character, etc.? Appreciate it so I can update page one. Thanks
Heroes and Villains is the general concept theme, and Minnie is in a Superhero outfit on the bow. Nothing else has been revealed for it as of yet.

Do you think Adventure sail dates will be announced at the same time?
I would assume so (since she is also slated for 2025) and then they can open the booking window for both ships at the same time...
I would be surprised if the launch details for the Destiny and Adventure are announced at the same time. Disney likes to space out major announcements so that each can get its own block of attention. Given how the DCL website frequently has trouble keeping up with normal functioning (see today’s activity booking delays), opening the booking windows for both ships at once would be ambitious.

It would make sense to reveal some more information about both ships at D23, including projected first sailing dates, but the actual booking won’t open until everyone is home and able to contact their travel agents.

We know Heroes and Villains theme, super hero Minnie on the bow, and some characters heavily featured in the promo were (from most to least featured) Hercules & Hades, Scar, Cruella.

The stateroom doors also had Easter eggs featuring Edna Mode (I’m thinking reference to Incredicourse), Haunted Mansion (bet they copy the bar from Treasure), pirates (I think it’s just for pirate night), and Spider-Man & black panther (maybe new Marvel restaurant experience).

Any idea when booking will start for Destiny? And how do bookings on inaugural sailings work? Just like any other, or is there a special process? Thanks!
I believe in order to book the maiden voyage of the Disney Wish, you needed to have completed 20 cruises on DCL in order to book. Not sure about the Treasure.

The treasure maiden voyage did not sell fast and was available for general public (instead of selling out before gold castaway like Wish).

The Wish was the first of a new class of ships. It was always going to have a bigger draw.

After being on one of the first 10 sailings of the Wish, I’m sitting back and waiting before booking the Treasure. Not everything was complete including the Aladdin show which debuted a week or 2 after we sailed.
After sailing on the Lookout Cay inaugural cruise on the Fantasy, we're not booking any maiden voyage or inaugural anything with DCL.

I never book or visit an inaugural anything. There's going to be growing pains.

Yep, this isn't something unique to DCL. I sailed on the new Sun Princess back in April, the ship had been delayed a few weeks and my cruise ended up being its 4th. There were still teething issues with the crew, venues and shows. Quite a few things that still weren't open or operating, or weren't operating how they should have been. And this is with a cruise line with many years more experience than DCL, at both operating cruises and integrating new classes of ships into their fleet.

This is DCL's first private destination launch in over 25 years, and only their second ever. If I was on the inaugural I'd be expecting there to be issues.

I've heard stories about the first couple of sailings for the Magic back in the day. Apparently it was a mad house.
