New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

I never book or visit an inaugural anything. There's going to be growing pains.
It boggles the mind - Disney admits in its own documentaries that they are very bad at getting things ready and at 100% for opening day. Their Disney+ shows "The Imagineering Story" and "Behind the Attraction" (and to a lesser extent Making of the Wish) spend a significant amount of time highlighting their issues with unforeseen problems - and deadlines. I actually do not understand the desire to be "first" on anything that is Disney - usually their issues are ironed out in a few weeks or months.

I remember watching Making of the Wish and thought that was weird. They were all, "LOL we didn't meet our own standards so we had to rush everything and are now sharing it with the world!"

To be fair, these documentaries need a STORY, they can't just have BOAT FACTS, because (1) Imagineers would never allow a documentary about something Disney to go out to the public without some narrative and (2) nobody would watch it without some compelling hook.

If you want BOAT FACTS you can just read technical specifications and industrial manuals. But for Making of the Wish, they need to make it seem like everything came together almost like a miracle.

Yeah, you've got to build up the drama!

I didn't mind the black over the mural for the Aladdin rooms but I don't care for the black edging on the Luca one... Is it just me or does it look like it cheapens the art work?

Staterooms look better than the Wish, but nothing will ever beat the Magic class.
Other than the art, is there much difference between the Magic and Dream class? Will be on the Wonder for the first time next year. Haven't been on that class before.

Wonder and Magic are the same class. So if you've been on the Magic (which I'm assuming you have based on your post, but maybe I'm misinterpreting), then the Wonder will be very similar.

Yes.

You’ll have

Overall, a feeling of a smaller ship. Which also translates to more quickly getting to places.

You don’t have to walk through Cabanas if using the aft elevator to reach the pool deck. Cabanas seems smaller.

Only one drink location - port aft, not so midship and both sides as Dream.

You lose that wide open Satellite Falls/ upper deck forward area. The basketball court is far forward - making it a bit crowded for viewing in AK or PC cruises.

Concierge is a whole different ballgame - they took over a nice viewing area bar for the Lounge.

The adult area is concentrated on Deck 3 Forward - pub, piano lounge, and an area smaller than the dance floor venue in The District.

Buena Vista Theater is a little smaller (leg room on top row is very short). But you don’t automatically lean so far back. And Walt Disney Theater has more foot and hip room, but no second floor balcony.

You lose Remy. Palo is smaller. No Meridian Bar.

Tiana’s Place where AP is on Dream. No restaurant (Enchanted Garden on Dream) on Deck 2. AP is different color pallet x and no Nemo theme.

Rooms might actually be a tad larger. That initial entrance through the bathroom/ closet hall seems wider. It will look very similar to Dream.

The food won’t be that different. Nor the DCL experience, if the Stars align.

Disney Destiny promotional boxes are landing with travel agents this afternoon. Looks like more announcements coming next week based on the info included (references to July 30, July 31 and August 1). Also some hints suggesting return of World of Marvel with references to Black Panther and Loki (not surprising), Haunted Mansion Bar with reference to the Mariner (a little surprising) and inclusion of IP from Wreck-it-Ralph, Lion King (maybe a show?), and the Incredibles.

Speculation-
*Wreck It Ralph- Another Vanellope's Sweet Shop
*Mariner- Haunted Mansion Bar from the Treasure
*All the Marvel (and it is a lot- Stark Industry, Spiderman, Loki, Dr. Strange, Groot)- I think is both world of marvel plus possible stateroom themes and/or a big focus of the kids club
*Pain & Panic- I WANT the Hercules the Muse-ical back (and I think their masks lend that way) so going with that
*Pirates- Pirate night but maybe a Pirate bar in the Bayou space?
*Olaf- Frozen Show? (Please not another Arendelle restaurant)
*Lion King- Staterooms (Funnel Suite)
*Cruella- Im guessing a theme to Luna, hopefully heavily villain focused space (and it took me awhile to realize that patch was Cruella outside the door

ETA-
Apparently, I missed an Incredibles Jack Jack- more Incredicourse but I could also see Incredibles being a theme in the kids club
