NEW Disney Gift Card Deals and More.

Just to be clear, if I transfer $ from card A to card B, leaving card A with 0 balance and no issues and then have a problem with card B, you believe I will need to show receipts for card A, even though it doesn't have an issue since I transferred $ form there to card A?

Not going to bother transferring then and just use up card A then. Don't need to have to be concerned with it as long as I have card B, which could be a while.

I realize these are worst case unlikely to happen scenarios, but I'd like to understand so I can make the best decisions.

Thanks again
Yes that is what people have had to do previously. Well not show since it is done through a call center but provide the purchase information to the agent.

That is why people have always been adamant about recording the information about gift cards.

If you just have 2 cards then that is probably fine not to consolidate but for me it is not an option. I will get Chase offers that max out at $90 so I don’t want to risk losing 20 cards and it is just easier to bring 2 $900 cards.

I don't think that paying off early and freeing up your line of credit has anything to do with the offer coming back or not. In my paypal account, it says my credit limit is $1700. I made one purchase for $200 with the pay in 4 and now the pay in 4 is gone. So it doesn't seem to have anything to do with line of credit.
What i found out this morning is that despite mine not showing pay in 4 showing as a line available, I was able to do another large transaction with national grid (prepaid my electric account). Instantly had points show up as pending.

I then tried to do a 5th transaction today at Target for some xmas gifts and I got a letter they couldnt approve because of to much credit extended. So paying it off I am sure would help.

I guess it depends why the pay in 4 is not showing. For many people (like me), it obviously has nothing to do with the credit limit, it just seems to disappear once you make one or 2 transactions and whether it will come back is anyone's guess.

Did they dissappear for a bit? I ordered $1200 e - cards and one $50 physical GC. The physical GC hasn’t shipped so I am hoping that’s why it’s kind of acting weird and will correct once it ships!
Yes. I ordered $1150 e-gift cards and a $100
physical gift card. At first all $1250 worth showed up as having points 37,500 pending. Then, the physical gift card was removed and only 34,500 points were pending. Today, I received notice by email that the $100 physical card shipped and I now see $100 as a separate charge with points pending.

FWIW, the limit for the promo is $5,000.

Thanks, I get why consolidating is generally worth it. I have many cards that I have bought consolidated onto a Disney store bought gift card not only to have fewer cards to manage but also to move the cards bought from third parties onto one bought from Disney to be safe. I also have a spreadsheet of every card I have bought and all the transfers and transactions on each. And in a folder, I have all of the cards themselves, the printouts of the transactions and all of the receipts.

I guess what I'm curious about is not so much the consolidating, but the leftover after a trip. I thought Ive seen people mention that they may rollover their remaining balance onto a new fresh card. I'm just trying to figure out if that makes sense or not for me or if I am better off just leaving the balance on the card and letting the balance go to 0 that way rather than transferring.

If I need to keep the transactions from the used card to supply in case I have an issue with the new card, then it doesn't seem worth it. If I just need to show the transfer, then I can archive off my old card now and be done with it by transferring the dollars left.

Hope that makes sense. I don't seem to be doing a very good job explaining what I'm curious about, lol.

I appreciate everyone trying to help me understand this. Thanks.

I understand but perhaps I’m the one who isn’t a good job explaining lol

From what I remember the people who have had issues just had to inform the phone rep card A was bought for $25 at Walmart on 1/1/25 and card b was bought from CVS on 3/1/25 for $50. They never had to discuss that A transferred to B on 4/1/25 or that you bought a Mickey bar on 4/4/25 with card B.

It sounds like you are very organized.
Does your spreadsheet include the giftcard and pin/ean? Does the spreadsheet also include the transaction information for when you bought the cards?

If that is the case I think you should be fine to discard the cards that you have transferred money from and its associated records from the folder.

Hope that helps.

From my experience you must buy each in a separate transactions. $1000 in one transaction (if even doable) will net you only one $10 GC. I did 5 x $100 (a mix of Disney and others, but all part of the promo) and got 5 x $10 Target GCs loaded to my account almost immediately after each transaction went through.
Did you have any trouble adding the second $10 gift card to Target Wallet? My first $10 gift card was fine but then I ordered another $100 card and email came for the $10 gift card but when I try to add to Wallet, last digit disappears so of course Wallet won't accept. Does anyone else have this happening? I was going to buy 10 cards one at a time but now I don't think so because can't get this second one to work. Thank you for responding. Frustrated.

Well, this is a bummer.

I looked at the details and it says that I am only being credited the 10% for the Disney Store and not the extra 20% for “Pay in 4”. I’m not going to complain, though. I don’t want to draw attention to my transactions.

So I purchased a $100 DGC getting the $10 TGC. But even though it said a 5% savings it came out to $95.50. This happen to anyone else? I have 2 Circle accounts and it happened on each account. I was able to make 2 purchases on one account and 1 on the other. But now I am getting an error on both accounts that their was an issue processing the payment.
That happened to me also. They said bc of the gift card, it’s calculated at $90. So you only get 5% off $90. X

I’m having a ton of issues with PayPal and Disney. PayPal will charge me, but Disney will have no record of the purchase — so that I never purchased the cards but got charged by PayPal. I ended up calling PayPal to see if that charge will be reversed.
