I just did the $1250 shop disney DGCs using the 10% PayPal offer and the pay in 4, it was super easy to do, hopefully it tracks! Thanks everyone! I've got an AP renewal, thanksgiving trip, marathon weekend trip, disneyland half marathon trip all in the next two months, so I'm going to need all of these regardless

You're doing it correct. Select pay later and continue on.

But I get nothing about Pay in 4, it seems like if I select a credit card it will charge it the $1,250 or if I select Paypal Credit it will be 6 months of no interest which I don't believe works.

Other people are saying they are seeing a Pay in 4 option when selecting a payment

So this is what it looks like for me on ShopDisney (computer):



I select the yellow button "Pay Later" which then pops up the PayPal login:




Here I select Pay in 4, not the credit cards which are listed below (not in screenshot, sorry). Then the blue continue button at the bottom (not in screenshot).

It took me to an illustration of the 4 installments with dates/amounts, then the soft credit check. You select the credit card somewhere in there too, I don't remember when.

So they cannot resend the email gift card. They will deactivate the card and give me a credit back to original form of payment.

However, I have no idea how this will work with paypal . The first payment looks like it was already taken from my bank account. if they get a credit, how will that even work.

Should I have them cancel the entire order? Or will that make it worse?

Now I not only have to worry about not getting the credit which is no big deal, but now I have to follow with paypal to see how they will process my payments to make sure I don't get charged and how they will fix the first payment.

Update - I just went ahead and had them deactivate all cards and refund the entire order. I somehow think this will be easier and safer to deal with Paypal on to make sure I don't get charged at all vs. partially charged. Who knows, if everything gets reversed on the paypal side, maybe I can still use the offer but I'll be happy if I just get my money back in my checking account since it seems they went ahead and processed the first payment and probably won't get the refund until after it posts. We'll see.

I'm curious, if I go in store, will they load that $10 onto whatever style GC I want? Could be good for small value holiday gifts, like the kids' bus driver..

When I purchased mine they just had generic ones in the drawers under the register. I had tried that a few years ago but I had been told they had to use these certain ones so I never have tried it again.

So far I have done 2 $1000 transactions. Interestingly there is a cap on rewards you can earn per transaction but not in total. I have a trip and cruise coming up so rolling the dice on this offer won’t hurt too much if it doesn’t track. If it does I’ll be up big for savings. Worth the risk for me! Im Tempted to do one more lol.

Where did you say the max point?

If that is true than the maximum gift card purchases would have to be $840 or so to get around 25000 points

I just did another despite asking above.... going to be spending the $ at Disney world anyway why not I guess. At the very least the 10% Disney store should go through.

So I messed up and placed the order without activating the 20% offer first. I hit the cancel button on the Disney store website but it didn't do anything, so I called up Disney (it was only around 10 minutes after I placed the order) and they were able to cancel it. I will order again in a little while.

So I replaced the order now with the 20% offer activated, lets hope that it pays out!

I did both. $100 in physical GCs and $400 in eGCs. The eGCs have already arrived. I'm reluctant to spend more just because there's no data points to confirm that it will work on Disney GCs bought at the Disney store.

There were previously posted data points of it working.

No, I don’t think so. The buy now, pay later will set up 4 equal payments that will each be charged to your credit card. 25% today, and then another charge every 2 weeks until balance is paid. There is no financing charge (unless you don’t pay off your credit card balance).

Remember for those that are doing this and don’t have a better earning card the freedom and freedom flex cards will earn 5% on payments made in December.
