Get them while they are hot! Just updated the Swan and Dolphin FAQ with new dates. Discounts are for AP rates, Teacher discount,goverment discount AAA, and Entertainment rate!

I had been reading your posts all along but when I couldn't get the dates I wanted I started going back through them and found the tip on the Fri. computer thing! Well, just got Dolphin with AP rate for Mar.28th-Apr.2nd Thank You Thank You, I probably wouldn't have kept trying so hard because I had ressies at DxL if I hadn't kept up with all your up-dates. Sorry for the run on sentences but I am so excited! I love it when I get a good rate!

My teenage DD is going to a convention at S/D this summer. Do you know whether the convention rates are generally as good or better than the DC or TEACH discounts, or should I start looking for one of these rates instead of waiting for the convention info to arrive,which is likely not to be for several months yet.

The "convention" that I was refering to is the Swan and Dolphin cheereleader meet. It is a group of DISers who will be staying at the Swan and Dolphin and meeting there for the first time!

Convention rates are usually set by the convention and the resort. Those have nothing to do with these. I am sorry to confuse you!

I think the best rates available are the Teacher and goverment rates.

First of all, glo, you've done a fabulous job with your FAQ!

Am I correct in understanding if you have the Entertainment Book, you will receive a 50% discount off the printed price for the room (starting at $295)?

Then, if you have an Annual or Season Pass, you will receive a free "upgrade"?

And finally, a Teacher or Government employee gets the best discount of all, right?

Just trying to get everything in order before making my final reservations (not sure which hotel .... yet.... ) for a May, 2001 trip.

Hey, thanks for the great info. I have been calling for a couple of days and the best we were offered during June was $99/night at All-Stars. After reading your posts, I just made my ressies at the Dolphin for $129/night teachers rate! The convenience of this resort plus the bigger rooms are well worth $30 more. I'm so excited! We stayed at the Swan this past June through priceline for $80, but we didn't want to take a chance of being off property this year so we decided not to do priceline again. Thanks again!
