New D23 Expo Superthread! (6/24/2019)

I barely got any sleep last night. Plus it's been warm in the Bay Area the past few days so that didn't help.

Long past that...I'm in the mode of frustration. This will be my first and last D23 event of any kind and the last year I pay for a Gold Membership. This entire process has been a crap show and I still have no resolution as of right now. No badge, no badge number, no idea when I'll get the latter. They can't find me in their system, meaning I can't make reservations at noon today.

If I could get a refund, I would. I'd still go to Cali next week...I'd just use that refund money to get some Universal tickets or something.

This was just shared by D23 for folks who had trouble getting badge numbers - does it help? don't know what's different, but they explicitly said on twitter it was for anyone who was having badge activation issues

Have a sort of a plan, priority will be a couple of store passes. For the panels, I may try for one or two. Last Expo I did the whole expo without any stage passes (I did not do any of the major panels in Hall D23) and got into every panel I wanted. The large screens are great & I do not have to be in the front or first few rows to enjoy the panels. For one, running from hall D23 to Archives, I was one of the last 10 to get in but still made it. So I’m not really sweating Stage passes as the stand by lines will work for me. For the 10am panels on my radar, I plan to use the Gold Member priority queues.
