hello,

We are hoping to meet Joy, Sadness at Epcot, and Kylo Ren, Chewbacca and Olaf at studios. I see these characters are supposed to be out all day, are lineups manageable mid-morning? We are going on a Sunday with EMH and a crowd level,of 4.

Thanks

Joy and sadness are usually around an hour
Kylo and Chewie are usually about 30 min
Olaf is usually a pretty low

Joy & Sadness are the tough ones. We did them in May at rope drop. Of course, Soarin' & Frozen were not open, so this meet & greet was even busier since there was no place else to go in the morning. It is a little slower in the middle of the afternoon, but still a very popular photo. At rope drop we still waited about 10 minutes as the 4th family in , then 15 minutes for Baymax

Olaf was all of 5 minutes in the middle of the day twice this week. Red Carpet Dreams and the Fab 5/Chipmunks out and about were longer at DHS.

We did Joy and Sadness at rope drop. Waited about 15 minutes once they came out.

Thank you all! Looks like we should make it then! Was expecting star wars to be much worse

I think Disney was too, especially Chewie, since he had one of the longest lines at SWW
Last month we were the only person to see Kylo Ren, no one in the room when we arrived and no one came in behind us. I've never seen Kylo Ren have a line of more than 5, 10 min.
Chewie had 1 little group of people waiting to enter, took maybe 10 min. His can get upwards of 30 but not often.
Olaf, well, the just put him in about a year too late. Had they had him last year he would have lines. But his is much like Kylo, most of the times there is no one there waiting to see him at all. Maybe 1 or 2 other groups. It's the first time I've seen 0 shown on the wait time sign

We just got back from 11 days at the world. We spent a lot of time at HS as our 8yr old is a huge SW fan. We met Chewie and Kylo twice. Chewie had waits of 30 minutes and 20 minutes (I never saw it go over 35 the whole time we were there). Kylo we met once with the Visa meet and greet, that was just a few minutes but the interaction wasn't great. The second time we waited in the regular line and that was about 35 minutes as well and the interaction was so good. Worth waiting for, we would do it again.
Olaf is short, we waited like 5 or 10 minutes but we passed it several times where there was no wait at all.
Joy and sadness was the longest wait ever, at least it felt like it! At one point the line just stopped moving. Maybe they had to switch between CM not sure. When we got in line we were told it was about 35 minutes, it ended up being about 45-50. I would do it again though because the interaction was fantastic, sadness got really sad and joy was really happy. Sadness put her head on my DH shoulder, we have some great pictures.

Where exactly is the Joy and Sadness M&G located? Sounds like you had a great experience with them!!! :)

Joy and Sadness do have the best interaction. The longest lines too. Which probably goes hand in hand since that great interaction takes more time per guest. Still worth it

Yup! We would do it again, they are fantastic!

Sooooo...my original plan was to do FEA at rope drop, then backtrack to TT and SOAT...now I'm thinking we may wanna head right for Joy/Sadness after FEA, and ride TT after? My kid is 12 so single rider is a viable option.

Or by that time (I'm guessing close to 10am on a regular Epcot day), the line for Joy/Sadness will already be long enough that 30-45 minutes more wont matter?

Thoughts?

Just got back from our trip. Joy & Sadness was the longest wait for us- about 45 minutes long in late afternoon.

We met Chewie and Kylo Ren an hour after park opening and had less than a 10 minute wait for both of them. We met Olaf after lunchtime and it was a 15 minute wait for him.

Almost 1 hour for joy and sadness (stand by only) and 0 minute with Olaf 15 minutes prior the fireworks

Is there a FP for Joy and Sadness or standby only?
Standby only- no FP

Like others have mentioned, the wait is longer because the interaction is longer than the majority of the other characters. Both times I've met them, Joy doted on my kids, Sadness showed off the control panel prop and encouraged my kids to play with the buttons, Sadness made it a point to hug every single person in my party (even us adults who didn't even want to take a picture with them)

We did joy and sadness 2 days ago. The line is long because they really take the time to interact with each person. We did to at rope drop and only a 15 minute wait. But it gets quite long so I would do it as soon as you get there. It was the best character experience on this trip so far image.jpg
