New Character Breakfast coming to the Boardwalk

I also think what they said was just an example of who would be there (it even used "or" not "and" when listing repuzel and little mermaid) so I think it would be more than just those 4 .... just that they don't have the final details yet

All the communication I've seen only specifies the two pairs with the caveat of 'subject to change'

It's possible we could get mornings with Cinderella/Charming or Aurora/Phillip, but with the sea theme only the first 2 really fit. I'm not sure there are even boats in Cinderella/Sleeping Beauty.

I think this is a good idea. I know it is nice to have non-character spots, but this IS Disney World. You can't go to a Disney Character meal everywhere else. However, I do agree that someone other than Princesses would have been nice.

I think that it's pretty clear that attendance wasn't high enough to satisfy Disney. I like the idea of couples which is at least a little different.

It's of my opinion that the minute you add characters to a dining experience you sacrifice food quality.
Probably. If Disney thinks the characters will sell the meal and they can get away with a lesser menu, I'm sure they will.

Still, I go to Disney for theming and unique experiences so I would probably do this, even though it never crossed my mind to do it before. Job done.

Might have to go next time I'm staying at boardwalk. Hopefully they will open early enough for you to eat go back to your room and still make rope drop. I hardly ever eat breakfast outside of my room but this will be an exception.

Currently breakfast begins at 7:30. With only 2 sets of characters it may be quicker than other meals, but I wouldn't plan on breakfast and rope drop

I think this will be fun! This summer while the Little Mermaid show was down for a quick refurb at DHS, Ariel and Eric were out meeting guests in front for about a week. When I went, we had to get in line 45 minutes early in order to meet them... and from what I heard, it was like this every single time they were out. I think it's fair to say this will be a HUGE success for Disney.

Meh, not excited for this at all. Would love for Disney to do a really, REALLY early character meal for the rope drop crowd, & then feature their regular breakfast menu later for those who want a relaxing breakfast.

I agree as you are changing the "draw" to the restaurant so attention must at least be split.

That said, I can have a great meal with excellent food at restaurants near where I live - I can't eat with princesses or Mickey at home

Obviously need a balance - something like Tusker House which has unique food options which are of at least pretty good quality and very good character interactions I think is a good example

just bumping this up to ask if anyone has heard any details on when this is available, costs, menu, etc...........

Oh, the princes! I mean, I know my 2 year old son talks all about Eric and Charming, and Flynn and...No, he doesn't! Nor do both his cousins who are 8. Now, they all like Star Wars (mind you, the 2 year old only knows about Storm Troopers and goes "pew pew" with anything that looks like a blaster), Monsters' Inc, Toy Story, and some of the more recent movies like Big Hero 6.

I'm sure plenty of girls and ladies will love this but frankly with how small most of the roles of the princes, why should any boy care about them and be clamoring to go?
I'm with you, my 11 year old son has absolutely no desire to do anything princess related (or prince, for that matter) at all. IF he were to do anything character related, it would be with Micky, Donald, Goofy, et.al. It's like with BBB, sure there is prince and pirate stuff available there but really, how many boys go and dress up?

I have been checking everyday for breakfast ADR's. I can get lots of times up until March 23, then nothing. We leave on the 25th, so fingers crossed they open this at that time.
