New CC tier gifts

Any word yet on what the new stateroom gifts will be?

We are hoping that they will introduce the new gifts for the October 3rd cruise as from that date onwards silver Castaway Club Members will no longer be invited to the Castaway Club House. So hopefully they will have the new gifts as of this cruise as well. I can't wait to see what they have thought up.

Per the CC membership newsletter...

Starting October 3, 2009, on Disney Magic and October 18, 20009, on Disney Wonder, the new program will bring you new and enhanced benefits - at-home and onboard!

We will have to wait until after the 10/3/09 cruise to find out what the new gifts are.

Not much really. Years ago (when there were way fewer CC members) the reception was really nice. Now it is a place to get a rice krispie bar shaped as a Mickey, some fruit (the same kind you can get at any buffet), and a can of coke or bottle of water, along with coffee or tea. The captain and CD speak briefly and there is a little social time with the officers. At the end there is a drawing for a DCL clock. I don't know how they decide how many they will give away; I've seen it vary from 3 to 10!

Personally, I hope they bring back the beach towel. I know it was only one per cabin and there was probably fighting over who would get it. But with the bags filled with stuff, the bag was nice but we always fought over who had to carry home the stuff inside. Don't really have a need for more blue cups. And Disney if your listening, blankets (like we got for the first Panama cruises) for the Alaska cruises would be great!

There are a lot of peole who sail yearly and it would be good to get something different each time (all bags are okay if they are different--I have gotten three gifts I really liked and two were bags: a white backpack style bag in 2005 and a black square duffle style bag in 2000--I also really liked the passport wallet).

LOL I'm hoping for another passport holder on the TA as these were great!

I 100% agree... we've sailed 3 years in a row now, and have gotten the exact same Castaway Club gifts every time. Surely, after your 4th or 5th cruise, Disney could start giving you a character towel or something else beside the blue cups.

It would be nice. Or some credit for the shop maybe then you could choose your own gift. Itll be interesting to see what people get in October

I was going to offer the same thing, as we're on the same cruise. However, we're only Silver as well, therefore not much would be gained, would it? We'll have to see if we have any golds and platinums in our meet group who'll take pictures....

I was thinking this as well, but I cannot think about anybody who is higher than silver on our cruise meet thread.
