New AP Rates Are Out

No AP rate for 4/24-4/29 on Pop!

I asked about the CR (standard vw, garden wing) but all they had was garden view/garden wing at $274 a night..Too steep..back to the drawing board

I was on hold for about 15 minutes but finally got thru.

We changed from POR to AKL with the AP rate. We really love the AKL and will be going back for our 3rd visit in May

We got a Pool View for $174 +tax - that's about $111 or 40% off the rack rate... so were pretty happy with the deal.

They also had standard view for $164 +tax.

BTW... They offered the DDP to us but we did not have to book it to get the AP rate.

Did you want DDP? I would ask for a supervisor if she kept insisting and you didn't want it. I really wonder if they are misinformed or if they are just pushing it.

I'm on with one now, and she hasn't told me that. She mentioned that I could now add the DDP, and when I told her I wasn't interested, she dropped it quickly.

I am going to try & call back again..the CM I got told me that I had to get the DDP so then I told her I saw a code FJC (thank you OP for posting that!!) for room only. She put me on hold & then came back & said yes you could do room only with that.

Yep, I gave her the code, she checked & then said ok. No, I don't want the DDP. We are using the DDE for April. Its funny how the DIS knows everything first!!!

Looks like $91 - $111 a night off the deluxes. This is the first time I've seen a price difference between monorail and non-monorail resorts.

Dates are 5/1 - 5/5. At first, no discounts available at all for monorail resorts. She was then able to apply the AP discount to an existing reservation I had, which took $91 off the rack rate. Still a bit too rich for my taste, so I asked her to check elsewhere.

Had BC for $259/night for standard ($111 off rack). Also had AKL standard ($164/night) and AKL pool ($174/night). (Also had WL courtyard w/ bunks and a honeymoon room, but I wasn't intersted.)

Decided to hold AKL standard, and decide if I want to go that way and save some more $$, or keep my $214/night rate at the Swan. I'm traveling with my mom, so I'll see what she thinks.

Was originally quoted 2 different rates for the weekend at AKL, but when she went back to book it, it was all miraculously $164/night.

As I mentioned, I did not get the hard sell on the DDP, and was able to book w/o it. Good luck!

We just changed our POP reservation (check-in 5/2: four nights) to AKL standard view for $164 per night. Was on hold for about 45 mins.

I was able to apply it to my POP ressie 4-4 thru 4-13. But I had AAA already, it saved me a whopping 75.00 more. So I think she said my total for 9 nights is 915.75 in a preferred room all taxes included.

I have PC booked May 5th - 9th with DP, 1 Adult, $487.49. Saved me a little over AAA & now I don't have to worry about putting money back for food

Do you know how much off values?

I just booked ASMU standard room for $797.78 for 9 nights. So, per night my rate was $88.64-probably $89 on weekend nights and $79 on weekdays. All of the other value resorts only had preferred rooms available.

I called this morning to check on a room only with a pin code I received in the regular mail. I was on hold for 30mins. I was thinking either the visa package opened to general public or the AP rates were out. When I finally was talking to the CM I mentioned I was an AP holder and he said Oh the AP rates are out and you can get the dining plan with them now. I was soooo excited.

I originally had the Contemporary Tower booked through AAA and it was gonna cost me $2600. But with the AP with Dining I now have the Wilderness Lodge Court Yard view with Dining plan for $1681! (may 7 to 12). I'm gonna miss having monorail access and the tower view but for the difference I don't care!
Plus my hubby will be one very happy man!

I just tried applying the room-only code to my ressie at the Poly for 5/16-5/21 and was told I would have to rebook and then apply the code & no garden view rooms are available to rebook!!

The code couldn't be applied to my current reservation!

I talked to a really nice CM on the annual passholder number (407)560-PASS (I think her name was Bobbie Jo). Anyway, she said I could just book a room only reservation with no dining plan and get the AP rates. I didn't have a code when I called-just asked what discounts were available to passholders and she gave it to me. If we want to add the dining plan, we'll call back and add it to our res. but with three pickey eaters it's not worth the $$ for us.

I just spoke with a CM and I have to tell you, I have never had anyone PUSH the dining plan like she did. I think they are being told to hard sell the DDP.

All she kept saying was "You know you can apply the dining plan with an AP now!". I didn't want the plan and you know what, of course, they didn't have the discount with my room type.

Oh well. I will try again later. I did get AAA rate and that is not bad.

That is a great rate for AKL! If I was taking my family I would have booked that myself. Good luck with your decision.

Just got off the phone and was able to apply the AP Rate at the WL Woodsview!! We are staying May 11-16.
We got it for $184.00 a night (I think thats a savings of $111.00 a night!!)

The CM I was with also mentioned that AP holders can now add the dining plan, but I said no thanks and that was all he said. He was great and very efficient. I was on hold for almost 30 minutes and he had everything updated and done in less than 2 minutes!!! MY DH is very happy with this savings!!!!!

I had the same problem. I tried to add the code for my stay at the Poly on 5/3 - 5/5 and was told that there were no discounts available for the Poly. She even tried to wiggle the days around to see if anything would come up.

She did say that rooms were available at the Beach Club and GF. GF was for 349$, which really wasn't that good of a deal since Expedia has them now for 399.

Has anyone been successful in getting discounts at the Polynesian?
