New AP holder - Discounts

Do AP holders receive email or any alerts to room discounts or do you book a reservation with an AP code?

I get emails.

You can go online to the Disney site, hover over Places to Stay and in the right column at bottom you will see Special Offers. Click that. At the top you will see Passholders Sign In. Do that (like you sign into MDE) and all the Passholder specials will then be in the new window along with the general public offers.

I find the emails about discount rates coming out sporadic. Sometimes I get them and sometimes I don't. I just frequently check the website for special offers.
