For me, it was seeing my reflection from a distance in a shop window and actually not recognising myself! When I realised who/what I was looking at, I desperately wanted to cry and run away but unfortunately I had a meeting with the guy who was designing our kitchen so had to stay... And this followed hot on the heels of an experience in Discovery Cove where I had to have several goes at getting a lifejackety thing that fastened over my capacious bosom...

Anyway I can't find any photos of that time but this is a year or so earlier when I was somewhat lighter - what is going on with my hair...???

However, I lost about 3.5 stone for our vow renewal in September 2007...

8 stone, it took 14months, that was easy, keeping it off for the last 3 years was the real challenge! last photo was my disney cruise in october.

wow your pics look amazing.
im following slimming world and ive lost 4 stone, still got a long way to go.
when my pics start to show a big difference i will post then.

The before and afters are really inspirational. I know I can lose the 14lbs as that was the weight I was when we went to Florida in 2007 and if I'm going to do that I may as well stick another 7lbs on the target...

Can I join too please? I've lost 14lbs over the last few months and want to shift another 14-21lbs. I'm getting married at Sea Breeze Point in December and although my dress fits well it would be better with a bit less bulk in it!

I was 15 stone and lost 3 stone, but with our WDW trip in 2007, Halloween, Christmases, birthdays... Well, you know the story! I'm back on low-carb which works so well for me (hence the 14lbs over the last few months) and it would be great to be a part of this thread.

I hope you don't mind but I've posted a before and after. First at 15 stone, 2nd at 12 stone. The first picture was taken in India and it was the one that made me realise I had some work to do!

You know, i think that is the best picture in the world of me and hubby, much better than wedding photos,even though they were taken nearly 17 years ago.!

I went into roman originals for a look, wasnt looking to buy, hubby and dn seen that dress and said thats nice try it on, it was a size 16, too big, I also LOVED IT, I pushed my ****s and belly out and said it does fit, they said breath in, I did and it fell down, they were so nice and phoned every other shop for me, no 14s, they said they would phone head office on monday to try and source one.It was reduced from 70 to 35 pounds! over the weekend I went on the web site to try and find one myself, I had to sign up for their web site, ,they e-mailed me a 25% off voucher for my first purchase for signing up to web site,they did phone head office and they sourced one, I was reduced from 70 to 35 pounds.Then my voucher they e-mailed me.
So the short story is that dress cost me 26 pounds!!!!

Wow all the before and after photos are amazing well done ladies

You've inspired me to post mine so far, kind of a before and a getting there photo

The before was taken in December 2007 in WDW, my DH caught me on the bus by surprise - I very rarely have my photo taken and this is a truely awful photo. This holiday made me realise I had to do something about my weight; I barely fitted in the plane seat, walking around the parks was a nightmare (to the point that the motobility scooters looked appealing!), I was alseep with DD at 8pm each day because I was exhausted and then looking at the holiday photos It took me until April 2008 though to pluck up the courage to go to my SW class and step on the scales.

The getting there was taken this August at a family wedding (sorry about cropping it but my DSD was in shot and her mum might not like me posting photos of her on here) I had lost just over 3 stone at this point. I look better but still terribly over weight I have lost more since this photo but haven't had any more photos taken except for drunken ones from my xmas work due but you don't need to see those

Thank you, im not as slim as that at the moment though...and even then i could have lost a bit more, i was 9st 10lb at my thinnest but im happy at 10st.
