I received an advertisement for DVC add ons yesterday. Add 50 points and get $400 credit toward downpayment (first 10% must be paid) and 2 theme park tickets. Get another ticket for each 25 pts above that. OR add 130 pts or more and get 2 annual passes. Anyone else get it? I sent Nick an email. Evertime I figure up our grand villa trips we are always a few points short, so now seems like a good time to add. Did anyone else try? Anyone know anymore specifics about it?

Thank you,
Lori

We are looking into it also. We own BCV and SSR. We love the AP's and those are valuable. We were told the promotion goes till July for DVC members.

We took advantage of this deal this week. No only did we get two free APs with our add-on Disney also gave us our 2005 points which we can use or bank this year. It seemed like a great deal to us and better than the current resale market which is how we bought our previous points. We think we'll have enough points now . . . if that is ever possible!

Can anyone give me some numbers for a 50 point add-on and an estimated payment?

My DH and I did this add on last month. It is 50 points at SSR. We are going to use the 2 tickets when we go in September. We were told you can trade them in for a credit towards our 5 day pass.

Thanks keys2kingdom! BTW, did you do okay through all of the storms tonight?

I know the total cost is $4,900. But I don't yet know payment amounts. Great to hear that they give you 2005 points, too! If I have the same use year (August) then I can bank them for the August trip, then bank 2006's for our Grand Villa in 2007! (I think that will work?!)

I called cause i was interested and the monthly payment is $52.88 and 16.59 for maintenance dues.

My use year is October will they give me the 2005 points. Can someone explain that to me thanks....

Does anyone know for sure if they give 2005 points reguardless of the number of add-on points?

It probably depends on your use year. They probably will only give you 2005 points if your use year is late in the year. In other words, they would not give you 2005 points for an April use year.

We got that add a few weeks ago. We're considering the 130 for the free AP's. I wonder if you can pay to upgrade those to premium passes

We did it on Thursday. We added 150 points to our SSR contract. Nice thing about the add on was that since we are already SSR owners it is just added on to our present contract with the same UY. So I still have 150 points for 2006 which we will bank.

We were told by our guide that we get the AP and two one day tickets, so I hope I can turn in the one day passes toward a premium annual pass. We still have park access from prior trips so I don't plan on using the AP on our next trip.

The price we were given for the add on was 98.00 per point minus an 8.00 incentive so we paid 90.00 per point. Something like that, I am waiting for our paperwork to come in so we can close. The points have already been posted to our account though. :cool1:

Congrats!!!! and Welcome Home again. We're going at the end of May, I won't do anything til after we get back. Our AP's are still good, so we don't need the new ones.

Anyone know how long this AP promo is going to run? We are looking to purchase our first set on points this week and my Guide is trying to dissuade me from doing a 150 purchase and then waiting until close and then doing the 130 add on. I was planning on buying 250 points, but I have a feeling I could always use 30 more, and the AP's would be handy.

My Guide is trying to tell me that the AP promo could go away at any time and I should just purchase the whole package now (split into two smaller point pckgs).

Help. Thanks

I was told by my guide that the promo will end at the end of June for current DVC members. Presently all new members are paying $101.00 per point, but there is a deal for the current members. You get a one day pass for every 25 points you purchase, then two AP for 130 points.

That's the brochure I got in the mail.
