Despite dumping thousands on the Mouse...must not like NY'ers :confused3

The mouse doesn't like us in Wisconsin either. My theory is that the mouse knows us folks up here in the north are just desperate to get some sunshine and warmer temperatures and we will pay those high rack rates to get it!

I'm noticing a trend...North, North, North!!!

I know, right? I've seen a few posts from folks who have received pin codes in the northeast and midwest, but most seem to be from people in the south (and none in my part of the country ). I guess we just have to hope for a general public offer.

Hey! they don't like us Southerners either. I'm in Texas and have never received a PIN code despite doing all the things others say generate a PIN code (saving trips on the website, ordering the planning DVDs, calling to ask if we have a PIN, registered on all Disney sites, doing any and all surveys, etc). I'm an AP holder and go to WDW 4-6 times a year, so I guess they think they've got me hooked and don't need to send me any PINs.

Got news for them: I don't think I'm renewing my AP after it expires in Oct. AP deals are just not near as good as they were a few years ago and there are too many other places to vacation that appreciate their loyal visitors.:rotfl:

I live above the North of 60 line! Never seen a PIN in my life! They sure don't love me anymore than anyone else either. Hehe!

I am originally from the Southwest and NEVER EVER EVER have received a pin code. I am here to commiserate with my fellow non-pin receiving crowd. Not sure of how Disney doles them out but ya know.

I live here in Florida now so don't expect to ever see one again and I get Florida resident discounts. Disney take note. . .I hold APs for WDW, US/IOA and SeaWorld. Don't mess with the cost of my local vacations. I will spend my money elsewhere. . .lol.

None for me either in MA!!!
I gave up and finally got my husband to cave in and buy DVC! If we had in 1997 like I wanted to, we would currently be ahead of the game....instead the mouse got quite a bit of our cash :lmao:!

we have only received one and it was the end of Feb./early march 2010. The problem was that we had literally just returned from Disney a couple of weeks prior (we were there Feb.5th-13th, 2010). The pin was good for 30% off I think but, it had to be used before the first or second week of June so it was completely useless for us.
We have been signed up for every freakin thing that is Disney related for years and we have never received a pin before or after that one that we got right after we returned. We have been to Disney almost every single year for the past 14 years and many trips before that too.

A friend of mine told me that her parents received a pin code 2 weeks ago via regular mail and they haven't stayed on Disney property in 20 years!
So DH gave it a shot and called Disney to see if maybe, just maybe we had a pin code attached to our name but, of course..NOTHING! The CM told my DH that pin codes are random and done by address/area. I find it funny that my friends parents received one and haven't stayed on property in over 20 years
but, we go almost every year and get nothing and we live in the same town as my friend and her parents (it's a very small town).

I've never received one, but my husband gets them all the time. For some reason, I'm not listed as a member of his household, so when I tried to use it for a girls trip in May, I couldn't.

He has never booked any of our trips, so I guess that's why they keep courting him.

Sorry....really not bragging ;) but I get codes/pins all the time (2 so far this year) and we live up north....western NY. I really don't know why. One time I made a online res. then canceled it because of change in plans and about 2 weeks later recieved a code in the mail. In addition to that I received a promotion ($200 credit) for the Disney Visa (which I already had) that seemed to be sparked by the cancellation.

So my suggestion is to create an account on the reservation site, go on often to check rates, make ressies and cancel them and most of all keep your fingers crossed!! :goodvibes

I believe that a lot of it has to do with ethnicity. I used to get at least one or two a year, but they always came in spanish. However, two years ago I gave some information that clarified my english preference and I stopped getting them.

We don't get PIN codes either! I think it's because they know that they've got us locked in. No matter how much we say we're skipping this year or whatever, we always go back. I'm sure Disney has noticed the trend :rotfl2:

:dance3::dance3:My family is very lucky. We've received PIN codes at least once or twice a year for the past 3 or 4 years. Sometimes it's Dining, sometime's it's room only. I may be way off base, but I attribute my fortune to having a Disney Visa, requesting vacation DVD's and DVC information, and "pricing" Disney vacation on their website now and then. I try to place my email or address on anything Disney a few times a year. You may be doing the same, and still not receiving PINs, but that's the only thing I can attribute it too....except maybe good luck and pixie dust. :wizard:

I'm from the north(PA). I haven't recieved any pins/codes either. I usually just check on her to see if their is any GP offers. I hope some day I will be Lucky enough to receive one of the exclusive pins.

I have a Disney Visa, request the DVD's every year, have sent for DVC several times, plan and "save" trips on their website, and give my email...nothing!

Yep, here's another Northerner who has never received a pin. But I don't want to receive one yet since we don't want to return until Feb of next year and I'm sure if I received one now, it would expire before then.
