Never received a code/pin in my life!!!

Today, my wife called to see if we had the Visa PIN, and the CM said no, but we had a room discount PIN attached.

You didn't need a PIN for the Disney Visa offer, you just needed the Disney Visa card. Is that what you're talking about?

My dad took us all 17 of us on a trip last year. I did all the research and used my email and address but his name to book the trip. He now gets every pin that comes out. I have never gotten a pin. We were DVC members so maybe that cancels us out. We had to sell when we moved due to job loss. So it would be nice to get a pin now an then that was addressed to me.

We are skipping this year. Even though it is killing me. Maybe they will start sending us pins next year.

we were AP holders for 1 yr and we've been on 25 trips since 1999, i've always requested the dvds and priced out packages online, i try everything to get those pin codes. we got the one for FD thru 8/13 this past time thru the mail. we are waiting now for the FD for our oct. trip. we live in the deep south of alabama. i don't think there's any rhymn or reason.

What was your offer, if you don't mind me asking?

We took our first trip down as a young family (me, wife, our then 3 y.o. son) last year and I happened to notice an email offer when we were pricing it out for the 30/35/40...so I always took this as the norm.

We're trying to plan a bigger family outing for end of August this summer (incl. my parents and siblings) but sadly let me pin offers from the winter expire before we booked anything (never noticed the exp. dates). We're probably going regardless, but discounts are going to play a role in exactly where we stay (stayed at BC last year and would love to swing that again, but would prob go either POR, POFQ, CBR or Swan/Dolphin otherwise)...and now it looks like the general free dining offers are going to work out so that our dates fall right in the middle of the two (we have conflicts up to August 14, and then they start again on August 29th...so a two week window, that perfectly coincides with the blackout of Free Dining offers!!!).

We patiently await an offer every day..we've got everyone signed up on the website, have about 4 or 5 planning DVDs sent out to the various households involved, etc. Maybe today is the day?

Sorry for the late reply, but it basically equated to 30% off and it was for September 2011.

For those who are getting FD pins, are they only good if you book a package? I know for FD available to the public you have to buy a room/ticket package, just wondering if the pins are the same or if the pins will allow you to get FD without purchasing park tickets.

Thanks!

i have never got a pin (have the visa too)
and i have an idea why...
99% of my trips have been booked with discount codes
i don't think they are going to send pins out to people who clearly are saving money already by finding codes

now i think i will go order the dvd and see what happens

There has never been a FD pin that didn't at least require a 1 day park ticket purchase. The new deals have been 2 day minimum. The tickets can be saved for a trip in the future as long as they have never been used. We have used past FD tickets by upgrading them to regular AP's, and when they only required 1 days we were able to use the value of the one day towards a water parks and more AP. (a 2 day costs more then that AP)

I think you are right. We go to WDW frequently, at least 3 times a year for a number of years and have never gotten a Pin. However, we always book with either a bounceback offer or an AP discount. The reasoning that seems to make the most sense is they know we are going, Pin or not and they are targeting people who might not otherwise return.

Good luck, hopefully ordering the DVD will do the trick!

I usually get most of the pin codes. Some have come in my Dad's name, but the few times I wanted to use them, when I called I was told the pin was also in our name. I have had no luck since early this year when I had a % off pin. Was hoping for the FD, but never got it. I always have a discount when I go except the two trips we stayed off property. We have had many trips, probably over 20 since Dec 1992 that I have planned. We live in NJ. We have gotten pins while having AP's. We participate in the movie rewards. We have the Disney Visa. Looking at the website anymore only seems to trigger emails showing me information on the resorts I was looking at. I can say that when we originally were getting pin's they were going to our spam folder. Well good luck to all looking for a pin. Donna
