Never been to Disneyland - advice please

We have been to WDW 7 times but haven't yet visited Disneyland. We are thinking of going to Disneyland as part of a trip to the West Coast next year but won't have a lot of time. If we were staying onsite, would 2 full days be enough to see most of both parks or would we really need 3 days?

Probably depends the most on what time of year you will be there.

I would say you could probably do most things in 2 really full days, but you might be pushing it.

It will have to be in August so do I take it that 3 days would be better?

I would say so...being that school is out, it will probably be pretty crowded.

We will see what everyone else has to say...but Iwould say 3 days, if you can.

I would think 3 days only because next year is the 50th celebration, and I think summer will be even busier then normal. JMO

Summer is always busiest and next year being the 50th celebration... watch out for parks closing because they hit capacity. I'd say allow at least 4 days to enjoy DLR. 2 great theme parks, 3 fun hotels, Downtown Disney. It's all packed in the summer. You'll enjoy it more taking the time to see it all, don't sell your visit short by rushing through it.

I just wanted to say I agree with this post - August will be hot and it will be crowded - You will need 3-4 days - But if you only have 2 days, 2 is better than none!
