How does one get the activation code (without waiting for the snail mail letter? The guide I am working with on a direct purchase said my info entered the system today and he gave me the membership code on it but I need an activation code which he didn't have.

Call member admin by calling DVC and selecting option 2.

It apparently takes a few business days after they record the membership to get the activation code into the system.

Yes. 8 days or so after it gets recorded. Sorry, I thought that was mentioned elsewhere.
At least you now know who to call!

Mine was 3 business days from recording to points posting to my brand new membership. I had my member# & activation code the next day and our first trip booked one week after the deed was recorded.

I'm already 8 days after the deed was recorded now and still waiting. Timing must be variable.

When calling member services, can I ask them to look up our membership/contract by giving them our Deed number?

We purchased direct while staying on site.

We had a membership number and login set up before leaving. This may not be the norm but we wanted these things before leaving. Had a lot of shopping to do before our flight home.
