Okay - I reserved a car back in March when their prices were great....I went through a Mousesaver link for a 20% discount from the Vacation Outlet AND applied an Entertainment Club coupon of $20.

Is this reservation going to be okay!? There is nothing I need to bring to show that I am entitled to this Vacation Outlet discount....I know there are also coupons from them but this was not a coupon....just a click through link.

I can't believe how cheap this rate is and I really dont want to get to the counter and and have a problem that will cost us hundreds of more dollars.

Someone reassure me.....

Thanks.

You will be fine. We had an internet, don't need coupon for our rental this May and they did ask for the coupon and I simply said it was a for an internet coupon that stated you did not need to present it and that was the end of the story. Don't worry, National is our rental car of choice, they have never disappointed us, they are the best.

Just bring your reservation confirmation. You can call ahead of time and double check, they are very nice.

I had a problem with National on my last trip. They charged me quite a bit more than my confirmation said. Don't recall the amount, but I had a Disney CLub rate and coupon and had made the reservation several months prior to my trip.

I did have to go to the booth in the ramp, and it did take a while for them to correct (right after Alamo and National began to share space and "former" Alamo agent needed help to fix). However, in the end, I actually got charged a few dollars less than my confirmation said. Since we had plenty of time before our plane left, I didn't mind the extra 15 minutes or so it took to resolve. All of the agents were very nice and I am using National again for our next trip.

IMHO, it's how companies deal with problems that determine how loyal I am - if they are not good, I do not deal with them at all if I can help it. National in Orlando has been very good to us - very, very few mistakes, good service and good cars. Hope it continues as they work out the bugs from the Alamo/National combo and ANC's bankruptcy. As i said, I wil continue to use National until either their prices get way out of whack or their service level deteriorates,

I don't think you have to worry as long as you bring along your confirmation and the Actual EC coupon. They do want those.

I had a similar situation as CarolMN last January. When I dropped the car, the worker handed me a receipt for an amount that was ~$200 over my confirmed price. I did not have any deviations from the original reservation (number of days, pickup/dropoff times, car type, etc.).

I informed the worker that the charge was incorrect. They pointed me to the agents booth in the parking garage. I took my copy of my reservation and showed it to the manager. He spent a couple of minutes pounding away at the keyboard without any resolution.

I politely informed him that I had a flight to catch and I asked him to please mail me a corrected billing and got his name and agreement that he would do so.

Later that week I received a corrected bill for the amount of the original reservation.

I find carrying a copy of the reservation makes quick work of any mistakes.
