Nerves Fried upon College Return

So I'm feeling really nervous tonight....school starts for me tomorrow morning. YIKES!

It's weird going back to school after such a long time off....I've been in the "real world" since 2002 and so far away from any school environment since I graduated from film school.

Unfortunatly the job market for my film and television degree is slim to none, and I have felt for some time now that a change in plans is in need for my life so I made a big decision to retunr to school.

I've decided to purse a degree is Education. I want to teach young people and help make a difference in the world around me. I really think this is a huge step in my life and believe it's the right move for me...but why are my nerves suddenly fried at the concept of jumping back into this? Argh..stupid stress!

17 hours..am I crazy? And trying to find a job on top of that (have a second interview on Thursday..with great prospects there too). I think I am certifiable!

Well, thanks for listening, just felt the need to get that out there!

I think it's great that you are going back to school. Have you thought about a job as a substitute teacher? In some areas, you don't need a certificate to sub. Good luck!

Josh - Good Luck!! You will do fine. I too have been out of school since 2002 and right now I am only taking one class so it's not the same. I was thinking about going back to school to get a M.ED but after long talks with my family I realize that law school is where I want to go.... after I got over spending that much money!!! I am aiming for next Fall and I gaurentee you that I will be a nervoud wreck!! Don't worry you will do fine... it's like riding a bike!!!
