Need your opinion

We were planning to go dec 28 - 31, but something came up and we have to be home for a tournament . We are driving from the SF bay area so I figure it will take 8 - 10 hours to get from our house to the hotel.

So I need your opinion on: IS it worth driving down late on the 29th (may stay at a hotel on the way depending on the weather) and having to drive back on the 31st? It is my daughter's BD on the 30th, she (nor her friend) have ever been and she does not know much about DL. I am torn since Christmas time is so much fun at Dl but the lines are long and the $$$ for 1 & 1/2 days.

I am thinking we should go at a different time. I really woudl love to go but am not sure it woudl be worth it especially if i% is closed and we have to use 101.

I am going to assume you mean December 29-30, to see the Christmas stuff. I would try to go the following weekend if possible. I myself would not go that weekend for only 2 days. The drive, the crowds, and the limited amount of park time would make it a tough sell.

thank you to both of you for the replies. I did get the month wrong, thanks for pointing that out.

It would not even be 2 days as we would drive down on the 29 or very early on the 30th - OMG - what am I thinking - we'd have to leave by 2 on the 31st at the very latest. Typing it out this way - I'd have to be insane to go.
