Need song suggestions! And, some advice

I am putting pictures to video for DH's surprise birthday party and I need some ideas for songs.


These sections I already have ideas...



for us dating to marriage.........Heaven by Bryan Adams
For his Dad and Grandma who died........ Somewhere over the rainbow (Judy Garland)
Pics of DD and him.........Butterfly kisses (anyone know who sings this?)
Fun celebrations (graduations, various weddings,etc)......Celebration by Kool and the Gang
The last section with varied pics.........The time of my life by Green Day.
Pics of him hunting.............Fred Bear (sp?) by Ted Nugent
Silly pics of him.................. Macho Man by Village people


I need help with
1st section about him growing up
Pics of DS and him (I don't want that sad song Cat's in the cradle....)


If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate them, and if you think I should change some of the other songs.

AND, how long do you think this video should be? I will have pictures and video clips in this. A friend from work is doing this for me. Anyone know how much this usually costs? She quoted me $50.

For him growing up, how about Times of your Life("Good morning yesterday, You wake up and time has slipped away, And suddenly its hard to find, The memories you left behind, Do you remember, the times of your life" Ok, those may not be the exact words, but I havent heard the song in a while, you get the idea though.). We used that song in the beginning of our wedding video when we show our growing up pictures. I know it was mentioned on these boards recently for wedding songs, but I cant remember who sings it. Some old time person. It is a pretty song though.

For him and DS how about Just The 2 Of Us by Will Smith.

You could use John Lennon's "Beautiful Boy" for your DH and DS. I love that song, I want to dance with my boys at their wedding to it.

Also, for your DH growing up, you could use Bob Dylan's "Forever Young". Such a beautiful song, my Dad and I danced to that at my wedding.

Or even Rod Stewart's "Forever Young", a completely different song.
