My boyfriend and I made a bet last night during Survivor as to who was going to be voted off, and the loser had to make the winner dessert. He picked Patricia and won the bet, now I'm trying to think of something really yummy to make him. I'd love to hear some of your most favorite desert recipes! Especially anything with whipped cream. :)

Thanks guys! :D

I posted this on recipes forum once:

Easy and delicious cake recipe (for chocoholics)
1 box of chocolate cake mix (follow the directions but omit the oil)
1 cup of sour cream
1 large box of chocolate pudding mix
1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Mix all together and bake as directed on cake mix in 11 x 13 cake pan. Frost while warm with prepared chocolate frosting (you want it to melt a little) or let cool and frost with a white cooked frosting.

This cake is better and moister the second day. It is SO easy to make! Enjoy!

PS-I have also made this with banana cake mix and banana pudding-equally as good!

My friend made a frozen peanut butter pie once, I think it involved peanut butter and cool whip? You froze it in a prebaked shell and served it with Hershey's chocolate syrup on top. It tasted like a big peanut butter cup. If you did a search on a recipe website you could probably find it. It was very easy and good.

Hi Lynne here's one that's just big enough for two.

Marbled Mousse
Fit each of two 1/3 cup ramekins with a 6" wide band of wax paper, doubled and oiled with a flavouress oil, to form a standing collar extending 1" above the rim. In a heatproof bowl set over simmering water, melt 2 ounces bittersweet chocolate with 1 Tbsp. strong brewed coffee (or use a liqueur), stirring constantly, remove the bowl and let the mixture cool. In a bowl, beat 2 large egg whites with a pinch each of cream of tartar and salt until they hold soft peaks, add 1 Tbsp. sugar and beat until they hold stiff peaks. In a chilled bowl, beat 1/2 cup heavy cream with 1 Tbsp. sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla until it holds stiff peaks. Fold half the whites into the chocolate mixture and fold in half the cream. Fold the remaining whites and cream together. Swirl the chocolatemixture into the cream and white mixture. Scoop the mixture carefully into the ramekins and chill, loosely covered for at least 1 hour or overnight. Remove collars and transfer remekins to serving plates.

Unfortunately, I can help with the peanut butter pie recipe too. Does it sound like I know way too many desserts?

1 Oreo Cookie Crust (you could make, but I buy from the store)

Mix together:
1/2 C peanut butter (I use crunchy)
1- 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
1- 8oz pkg cool whip
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Put in the crust and chill for one hour. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top before serving.

Apple Dip Cheesecake

You need a box of no-bake cheesecake mix, Marzetti carmel apple dip, milk, and whipped cream. Prepare graham cracker crust according to the box directions. Then spread a layer apple dip (recipe calls for 1/4 cup, but I don't measure) on the crust. Beat the cheesecake mix, 1/2 cup of apple dip and 1 cup of milk until well blended. Beat on medium speed for 3 minutes (mixture will be thick). Spoon into the crust. Top with whipped cream. Nuke a couple of tablespoons of the apple dip and drizzle over the whipped cream. Chill for an hour.

I volunteer to taste test any of these delicious sounding recipes.

:D :) :D

I drive for dessert.

:) :) :)

Lucy:
Can I save you the trouble?

I'll just open my big mouth and you can pour all the ingredients down.

;) ;) ;)

Beauty:
How about a liquid Pina Colada cake, rum, coconut mix, and oh, more rum! :D

Thanks for getting my sweet-tooth all excited. :)

Take 19 Ice Cream sandwich bars, your favorite flavor (ours is mint chocolate chip). Take the bars out of the wrappers and make a layer of them in a 13x9 pan in the bottom. Cover that with one whole bottle (14oz?) of hot fudge (not hot). Sprinkle with Peanuts liberally. Spread 1/2 a 14oz container of cool whip over that. Make another layer of Sandwich bars. Spread the last of the cool whip on the top.

Freeze for a while. Eat the extra Ince Cream Sandwich bars cause you can only get boxes of 5 or 10. :D

Enjoy!

Easy No-bake Cheesecake

1 - package cream cheese (8 oz)
1- cup powdered sugar
1 - tsp vanilla
1 - cup cool whip (I usually add more)
1- graham cracker crust
1 - can cherry pie filling (blueberry is also great)

Cream together the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla. Fold in the cool whip. Spoon into the crust and top with fruit filling.

This was the first recipe I ever made when I was 9 years old. I am now 41 and it is one of my families favorites and does not take more then about 10 minutes to put together

LucyStorm (Bonnie :) ) - that is the recipe that I would have posted as well! We bake it in bundt pan though - and you HAVE to have the chips!:D
I LOVE that cake.
:)

I keep that basic recipe and try it with different types of cake too Beth. It makes a wonderful banana cake and a mean lemon cake as well (that one I put in the bundt pan and just drizzle with glaze).

It is no wonder that I need to lose weight!

TXTIGGR-I am in a baking mood today, so if you want to drive all the way to Ohio, come on. We can have a big piece of that cake warm with a cold glass of milk!

There used to be something similar to this at the Bake Shop in MK. I found this on the internet and have been very happy with it.

Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Pie

1 unbaked 9 in pie shell(I use Pillsbury)
2 large eggs
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 cup NTH semisweet chocolate morsels
1 cup chopped walnuts
whipped cream or icecream

Preheat oven 325
Beat eggs on high until foamy
Beat in flour, sugar, brown sugar, butter
Stir in morsels & nuts
Spoon into shell
Bake 55-60 minutes
Cool on wire rack(I just put it on my stoves burner)
Serve warm with whipped cream or icecream.

I keep it stored in the refrigerator, but then whenI want a piece I heat it in the microwave for about 15 minutes. It makes the chocolate just a little warm and mushy.

Here's one if you like peanutbutter, chocolate and whipped cream.

Peanut Delite

This is made in a 9x13 dish, and in layers.

3/4 cup of peanut butter
8oz package of cream cheese (plain)
1 cup powdered sugar
aprox 8 cups of Cool Whip (thawed)
1 package chololate pudding (large)
1 package vanilla pudding (large)
3 cups milk
*optional- chocolate sprinkles/curls, peanut topping, or both :D

Layer 1)
In a big bowl mix together cream cheese and peanut butter. Mix in 1 cup powdered sugar, then mix in 3 cups Cool Whip.

L2)
In a large bowl mix together puddings and milk. Mix in 2 cups Cool Whip.

L3)
Spread Cool Whip over the top. Then toppings if you want.

Refrigerate, or if you want to freeze it for another day. If you freeze it, you can unthaw it all the way, or leave it partially frozen.

This recipe is great for altering it to your taste.

Lemon Bars
Crust
½ lb butter, room temp
½ cup sugar
2 cups flour
1/8 tsp salt
Filling
6 extra large eggs at room temp
3 cups sugar
2 Tbs freshly grated lemon zest (4-6 lemons)
1 cup frensly squeezed lemon juice
1 cup flour
Confectioners’ sugar for dusting
Preheat oven to 350. For the crust, cream the butter and sugar until light. Combine the flour and
salt and with the mixer on low, add to the butter until just mixed. Dump the dough onto a well-
floured board and gather into a ball. Flatten the dough with floured hands and press it into a
9x13x2 baking pan. Building up a ½ inch edge on all sides. Chill.
Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, until lightly browned. Let cool on a wire rack, leave the oven
on.
For the filling, whisk together all ingredients. Pour over the crust and bake 30-35 minutes, until
the filling is set. Let cool to room temp. Cut into squares or triangles and dust with
confectioners’ sugar.

RASPBERRY SOUR CREAM TART
For crust
8 whole graham crackers, coarsely broken
1/4 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted

For filling and topping
6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2-pint baskets raspberries
1/4 cup seedless raspberry jam

Make crust:
Preheat oven to 375°̊F. Grind crackers and sugar in processor until coarse crumbs form. Add
butter and process until crumbs are evenly moistened. Press crumb mixture firmly onto bottom
and up sides of 9-inch-diameter tart pan with removable bottom. Bake until crust is firm to
touch, about 8 minutes.(NOTE: can burn quickly, keep a close eye on it and don't wait for it to
turn brown!) Cool crust on rack.

Make filling and topping:
Using electric mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar in medium bowl until smooth. Beat in sour
cream, lemon juice and vanilla. Spread filling in cooled crust. Chill until firm, at least 4 hours.
(Can be made 1 day ahead. Cover; keep chilled.)

Arrange berries over filling. Whisk jam in small bowl to loose consistency. Drizzle over
berries. Serve immediately or chill up to 3 hours.

Makes 8 servings

CHOCOLATE FONDUE FOR 2
1 lb calabut or other high quality semi sweet chocolate
1 pt heavy cream
2-3 oz flavored liquer (optional)
Break choc into chunks. Melt until smooth, add cream and whisk until combined. If you want
to add liqueur pour it in at this time. Pour into fondue pot, set at a medium flame. Serve with
fruit (Strawberries, raspberries, orange sections, peaches, apples, banana, lady fingers, cookies and/or pound cake. )

Melt some sweetened chocolate in a double boiler. While that is heating, mix some peanut butter with powdered sugar and set aside. When the chocolate is melted, pour some in the bottom of paper lined muffin cups, spoon in some of the peanut butter mix, then top with more chocolate. Tastes EXACTLY like Reeses Cups!

I got this recipe from a book called "How Did They Make That?"

Please let us know which one you try and how it comes out. These all sound so yummy! :p
