Need Some Insight

My wife and I have our 10th wedding anniversary this July. I know I will have a ton of work but I wanted to surprise her and have our vow's renewed at Disney. We always joke and say we should have eloped. (I don't have a clue if that is how its spelled) I see the packages and WOW!! I just wanted something simple and have our kids as our maid of honor and best man. I thought of maybe just a ceremony and champagne and cake since we are going there on vacation at the same time. We are in the DVC club so I don't need rooms. This is going to be our elope.

Do you have to get a package?

You have to get an escape package...that is just the vow renewal...I am not sure off the top of my head if VR and Escape weddings are the same price.

I think it will be great for you guys!!!! YAY for DVC...we just bought into it at AKL...where do you own?

we own at SSR. We love it. We will be staying at the Beach club in July

If the escape package is too expensive, you could also possibly have it at the swan/dolphin for a little less.

Just so you know, your DVC nights count as your required nights. Good luck in planning. If you have any questions, this is the place to ask them !

We had an Escape Wedding with no extras (well, a $35 hair floral). The basic is $4K, but includes photography, cake, champagne (for four people), a violinist, bride's bouquet and grooms boutonniere, and the services of a wedding planner. You will still have to pay for a minister, which is around $200.

It was very easy to plan and a wonderful experience!

...The price is $4,500 for 2009, and it's $5,500 if you want to use the Wedding Pavilion. The absolute cheapest official Disney wedding is a Disney Cruise Line wedding. Vow renewals start at $1,500 (on top of the price of the cruise).
