I am currently booked in stateroom 5024 and though I am excited I am nervous as well. I veiwed the pictures of the secret porthole rooms on this web-site.

Currently the only rooms available is the 5024 (the one I am booked in) or a room on the 1st deck with the 2 small windows. Which one would you recommend. I have been on the cruise before and I have had the big picture window and a veranda.

Though there is nothing like the veranda, I did not want to pay the extra $ 1,200.00. Please help, I need a second opinion. Thank you

I found Deck 5 to be very convenient. we've always stayed aft, not forward, but I've heard those rooms are very quiet. I like the ability to walk down to dinner and up to the pool, and not be so dependent on elevators--I am not a patient waiter!

I really liked deck 5. We were aft also...but the whole deck is quiet and peaceful. It's a great location with kids since the club/lab are on 5 midship. However, these areas are away from the staterooms, so don't cause any noise or distractions.

Stick with the SPH room (deck 5). I believe that the rooms with the porthole are cat 8 & 9 - so you would be saving some money by staying in the cat 10 SPH room
