Need serious help with an annual pass question

Hello All,

I am a new annual pass holder and I just called CRO to make some reservations using the annual pass discount. I wanted to book 3 rooms, which the ap says I should be able to do, the reservationist said that if I have more than 7 people attending it must be considered a "grand gathering" and therefore not eligable for the passholder discount. She also said I must be in the same room ( I did plan on being in one room with my family) but that might be a little impossible with 3 rooms. Is there any way to book this without linking them together? I wanted to go with my 2 siblings and their family but we did not want a grand gathering, we are a rather independant bunch.
Did I just get a cm that did not know what she is talking about?

I think you just got a CM who didn't have all the facts.

Yes, you can book up to 3 rooms at a time with your AP.

No, you are not required to call any group of 7 or more people a Grand Gathering.

Call back and try again with a different CM. Don't mention your previous experience; that will only confuse the matter. Just ask to book three rooms on your AP discount.

As of Jan.1, parties of 8 or more will be directed to the grand gatherings groups for bookings. You do not have to pay for any of the events, it will just help keep you together. I found this out when I tried to book a trip earlier this year and asked to speak to guest services when I was told that I had to do a G. Gathering for a party of 8. Doing the booking as a G. GAthering was pretty painless...Also, you can have up to 3 rooms on an AP.

The CRO castmembers have to transfer to Grand Gatherings if you are a party of 8 or more...new rules!

I don't have any problems with being reserved under a grand gatherings, I just want to be able to get my AP discount and according to the cm I spoke with, the discount gets cancelled if we are booked as a grand gathering (makes absolutely no sense to me).
