Hi ladies :goodvibes

This is actually my second time trying to post this question - so if it ends up on here twice, sorry about that.

Anyway. My dh and I are having a anniversary photo session in Epcot. Originally it was going to be a vow renewal - but those plans didn't work out as we had hoped. We already had hair/makeup booked and needed to find a way to basically use our store credit at the bridal shop...so we came up with this photo session idea. We used the "store credit" and purchased a bridesmaid type gown. I am not sure how to post pictures, so I will try to post the link instead. Hopefully this will work?!?

We chose the deep purple color (Lapis). Of course my dress will be about 4 sizes bigger than the one pictured :lmao:, and I have no idea why the model is posing like that because it makes it hard to see the details and shape of the dress - but overall it gives you an idea of the dress. Meanwhile, my dh is going to wear a nice charcoal colored suit.

I have seen many pictures of brides doing photo sessions in Epcot (and MK), and the pics always turn out BEAUTIFUL! I am just worried we will look like total fruit-loops since we are already happily married and because I won't be in a beautiful white wedding gown. Do you think this is a strange idea? Also, I am wondering about flowers. Do you think I should order some kind of flower(s) to hold for the pics? I'm not exactly comfortable in front of the camera, so I can totally see myself standing there in this pretty gown, with my hands on my hips, not knowing what else to do with em?!? LOL :rotfl: Or would having flowers make the whole thing even more strange??? :confused3

If you believe flowers would be okay, what kind should I go with? A boquet of some kind..or something more simple/small????

Honestly, I cannot wait to hear your opinions because I have NO idea what to do popcorn:: I asked my dh about it and he said I could go either way (with or without flowers)..and although the thought was sweet, it wasn't much help in making a final decision! lol

Thanks in advance for your help ladies - I truly appreciate it!

Love the dress - beautiful color (it's the one in the small pic right?)....

As far as flowers - I'd say that for most of our photo session pics (we did a VR) I was not holding them - and the photographer did a great job with the "poses" so it really didn't matter if I had them or not....:rotfl:

If you do want some flowers - I think maybe a simple small bunch/bouquet tied with ribbon is always beautiful - and with mine I also put a coordinating flower in my hair.....so there was a complete package - also your shoe color might coordinate with a color in the flowers if you chose that....:lovestruc That would be great - especially if your photographer gets the famous "shoe shot"....

You guys will have a great time - it is definitely a magical experience.....and just trust what the photographer says with the poses - some feel really awkward but turn out so great:yay:

Congrats and cute dress! I would probably lean towards flowers in my hair and a boutonnière for the hubs myself. Professional hair and make up go a long way towards warding off dorkiness! And professional photogs are practiced at coaxing great pics out of even non-photogenic folks like myself. Have fun!!
