This is only our second trip to Disney and I know there are a lot of restaurants to choose from.

This is what we have for ADR's so far...

1900 Park Fare - Dinner
Chef Mickey's - Dinner
Crystal Palace - Dinner
Whispering Canyon - Dinner
50's Prime Time - Lunch
Le Cellier - Dinner

I need to come up with one more ADR somewhere. We did have Hoop Dee Doo but I no longer want it. I don't think our family can sit through a 2 hour show.

Any ideas? We are on the regular dining plan and only have one TS left to use.

Thanks everyone!

Tammy

I forgot to mention... my hubby is SUPER picky. He likes burgers, steaks and normal stuff. Buffets are usually safe as well. He's not much for Asian food (while I love to try new things). For example O Hana's and Chef Le Frances did not go over very well on our last trip!! In fact he hated them both...

Good food, fun entertainment and, for me, it's hard to get German food locally.

I have to stop recommending this place or the ADRs will be really hard to get someday.

I was going to suggest Ohana's, but forget that!

Oh goosh - maybe another TS in Epcot.

I did like Biergarten, but if you DH is super picky, maybe not.
How about the Tutto Italia (did I say/spell that right?).
Kona Cafe is good. I enjoyed that.
Love boma. Personally, I think there is enough normal stuff for picky eaters.
He should be able to find something at Spoodles.
How about Teppan Edo. That food is not heavily spiced.

Oh....cape may cafe has normal food, in addition to seafood, in the buffet. Hey - it's an excuse to walk to the Beach club!

The Wave at the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian Cafe...both have steak & taters choices to keep your DH happy, but lots of other choices for you! And both are at monorail resorts so easy to get over to the Magic Kingdom before or after your meal (also fun to explore resorts.) Kids are welcome at both places

And both have fab. desserts (if you choose the GF Cafe, get the dessert sampler to share - it's allowed for two people on the Dining plan...yummy!)

Without knowing the ages of the folks in your party :confused3 , I think Kona Cafe would be a good choice. It is family friendly and the food is very good.
You would also be able to explore the grounds at the Poly which are beautiful.
Have a Great Trip

I'm 36, DH is turning 47 and the kids are 10 and turning 1 when we come.

We only have 1TS left to spend so I want to make it a doozy. I was lucky enough to get Le Cellier for dinner and that's really my DH's favorite place so far.

Our heritage is Irish/German so that should help some. (we are americans though)

Right now it's down to these:

Biegarten
Tutto Italia
Cape May Cafe
Grand Floridian Cafe
Kona Cafe

Which is hands-down best in the good food department?

Maybe someone else has something to add to this list! All welcome..

Tammy

If your DH is picky I would stay away from Kona. Especially if he didn't like Ohana. Most dishes have the same flavors as Ohana.

We enjoyed Cape May but you already have a few buffets. If you want another try there. Excellent desserts!!

We enjoyed Tutto Italia and it is a very good use of TS as it's expensive there!

What about LTT? It's no longer character but does your DH like Thanksgiving food?

I would go with Tutto if you are going to be in Epcot when you need the ADR . Grand Floridian Cafe gets great reviews if you want to hop the monorail for a great meal, or if you are going to be in MK, try the Plaza, we love it and the food is great(especially for picky eaters):)

:rotfl:
Funny you mention Thanksgiving food as that is DH's favorite holiday simply because of the meal/foods served!! This would be right up his alley (but not mine) :sad2:

I'll cross Kona off the list. sweet n sour stuff is NOT his thing. :sad2:

Liberty Tree Tavern
Hollywood and Vine (Lunch)
Cape May Cafe
50's Prime Time

My DH and DD are very picky eaters

or perhaps, try a breakfast, my DH likes it alot

Wolfgang Puck Cafe in Downtown Disney.

Served my husband chicken breast half of which was raw...unfortunately for DH he only realized after eating the partially cooked half. It was so gross and they were not apologetic at all! I've read other similar reviews elsewhere...

What about the Captain's grille at the Yacht club? I believe that one is only 1TS, the Yachtman steakhouse is 2ts's. did you check the menus on allears.net? that's where i always go to get ideas, my DH is super fussy.

Teppen Edo I know you said no asain for your DH I'm the same way I get steak & shrimp it's great
Tutto
Wave
Kona Cafe
GF Cafe
Coral Reef good food & nice atmosphere
