We are going in Sept. We have all been before -myself, 39 and 3 boys (ok two are men-but in my heart my boys) 22, 21 and 8.

None of these boys (two my own and one a friend) have never had much exposure to Disney characters, etc, except at the parks.

I want them to "know" characters and rides, etc. My plan is twice a month, to rent a Disney movie to give them a feel for some characters and rides (this will average out to 16 movies).

We are starting with Swiss Family Robinson, so they can see the "tree" etc. Even though not the most exciting attraction there, we all adore it and do take our time. I think seeing the movie it's from will make them enjoy it more.

Any suggestions at other movies (it doesn't matter about the ages here, the older boys are subject for anything I suggest to make the trip that much more FUN) to let them know the ideas behind rides or characters??

Thanks!!

I (age 38) still enjoy watching the Disneyland Fun Sing-A-Long Songs video. Even though it is not Disneyworld in the video, it is still alot of fun to watch. As a matter of fact, just thinking about it makes me want to sing. Anyone care to join me? "I'm walking right down the middle of Main Street USA..A..A" :rockband: :dancer:

I know my nephew ADORES all the Toy story stuff...and it is one of the only true "boy" things there. I think that's a good one for older kids too because of the clever jokes...

Also, don't forget the Star Wars stuff is there, so they can get into that without any rentals.

Ha-thanks!! My little one fell asleep during Swiss Family, but he came home sick from school. It's still playing, but he was very much into it. I was surprised with the toons on today, I thought he would hate it...no way. We will finish tomorrow, since he is running a fever now, he will stay home tomorrow.

I still ride Dumbo, Peter Pan and the sorts...my kids just roll their eyes and wait with me in the queue (well, last time we left the Peter Pan queue too exhausted to wait-not this year).

Pulled out the Toy Story movie tonight (one I won't have to rent). That will be for the weekend we can't find one to rent. This will be great since we are staying at Movies and "Andy's Room" was a selling point to ALL 3 of the "boys".
