need help with parks

I am going to disney for the first time this fourm has helped me alot thanks
I will be there four days one day I am spending at universal one day at epcot now I was thinking of geting a 3 day park hopper and do ak one morning and then go to mk in the afternoon and give mgm a full day or ak in the morning and mgm in the afternoon and give mk a full day I am going with my wife no kids it's the first time for both of us leaving 2/23/03 will get there early morning and leaving 02/27/03 early morning how are the crowds then ? and which days should I do what ? I am staying off site.
I know I am asking alot but this fourm seems so nice and to help alot and I just can't decide

Well, you probably won't experience significant crowds at the end of February, so that will make things easier. Since you're staying off-site, you'll probably want to avoid whichever park has its Extra Magic Hour for that day: Sun, Thurs are Magic Kingdom; Mon, Fri are Animal Kingdom; Tues, Sat is MGM Studios; and Wed is Epcot. Resort guests have a tendancy to flood those parks on those days, so stay clear if you can. Also, the MK tends to be the most crowded on Mondays.

In my opinion, you'll want to spend most of your time at Epcot and the Magic Kingdom - devote a full day to each of those parks. Use the last day of your 3 day park hopper to split AK and MGM. Decide which park has the rides you most want to see, and then do that park first, then use the remainder of the day for the other park. On the other hand, AK closes early, so perhaps you'd want to do AK in the morning, then head to MGM for the afternoon and evening.

Without kids, the major AK rides can be done over the course of a long morning (with light end-of-February crowds) in my experience. MGM has more rides that adults would appreciate. If you've got light crowds, however, you'll probably be in no hurry to do both MGM and AK in a single day.

Also, and you may already know this, so forgive the redundancy, but 3-day Park Hoppers are not available for sale directly from Disney. Disney only sells park hoppers in 4-7 day amounts. However, there are other ticket sellers who do sell the 3-day pass, including Central Florida Travel.

I would give a full day for MK and puting AK&MGM on the same day. I just believe that MK is the soul of Disney, from Cinderella to Mickey Mouse, and from Hunted Mansion to Space Mountain. But since it is your first time, no matter what you do, you will have fun and will plan your next visit very quickly!!

You probably should visit AK in the morning, than MGM in the afternoon, since animals are more active in the morning.

I have never been to WDW in late Feburary. I was there last October and I found MK was so crowded on weekends. But since your trip is Sunday to Thursday, I believe the crowd level might not be that high during your trip.

Anyways, I hope someone else can give you better suggestion than I do!

Personally I would choose to do the half day AK and MGM. A lot of Magic Kingdom is aimed at children but most of it can be enjoyed by adults and there is a lot more to see than there is at MGM. If it's your first time there, Magic Kingdom is pretty special first time round and you don't want to rush it.

You're bound to get a multitude of opinions, but I will side with the half-day EPCOT, half-day AK, full day MGM and MK crowd.

AK is almost unquestionably a half-day park in the off-season. If you plan a visit from about 9am to 1-2pm, you should be able to see just about everything you want to at AK.

From there I'd move over to EPCOT. Hit the highlights of Future World in the late afternoon, and then the World Showcase after dinner. The WS is always open until 9pm.

For my family, MGM is always worth a full day. We love just about every attraction in the park, and you can hit just about all of them in a full day.

I would recommend investing a few dollars in the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. It has comprehensive descriptions of each attraction in each park, and even rates the rides for different age groups. This may really help you with EPCOT. While there are a lot of attractions, many are of dubious value.

On another note, I agree with btuftee that finding 3-day park hoppers may be a problem. I've not seen any current sources for these passes, and it looks like your trip is only a couple of weeks away. If you want to park hop, you'll probably have to get 4-day passes and keep the extra day for your next trip. Of course you could always reconsider that day at Universal and really get your money's worth.
