So my uninformed neighbor is leaving for Disney in less than a month. I say uninformed because she has done none, zip, zero research or planning. Her mom booked the trip and neighbor is "going along for the ride". When I asked her where she was staying she replied basically that it was an off-site hotel, but you could walk to the parks. No, they are not getting a rental!:confused3

I have tried to inform her but she isn't that interested. Oh, she's only taking $200 with her and no, they are not on the dining plan:confused3 I strongly suggested she find out where she is staying and order water/drinks from Garden Grocer

In any event I would like to put together a goody bag for her daughter who is turning 7 this week. Originally I was going to order a tinkerbelle duffle bag and have it personalized. But I can't find any cute duffle or travel bags on Disney.com. Any suggestions?

ALso, in addition to glow sticks what else should I put in a duffle bag for the child (and mom)? I'm thinking of the mister fans from Wal-Mart, glow sticks, :cutie: what else?

NOT INCLUDING the bag I find I"m hoping to spend no more than $20=25 for the goodies inside the bag. They are taking the train from RI, so nothing too, too heavy/large.

Thanks!

I would get her a Disney guide book, print out different places to eat and prices, and maybe a quick guide on how to do a fastpass, and a list of rides in order to make the best of their day.

For the daughter I would get her some coloring books and crayons for the train ride, glow sticks, a cool water bottle, a few little toys, maybe a stuffed animal.

I would also include the following if Mom doesn't want to pre-plan, suntan lotion, aloe for any sunburns, tums, advil, rain jackets, and some other dollar store that she may need.

Lastly, some people really do not want to plan the vacation to the every second. Other than the not knowing how much money they will need to eat and the transportation to the park, I would leave her alone. Sometimes you have to let it go and they will learn.

Suckers, snacks (no juice boxes if they are flying), bandaids if they are walking from the hotel...it's a long walk.

I would suggest an autograph book and a cute pen or Sharpie marker, some Mickey pretzels or cookies (I've found those at Publix where I live), a little Mickey tshirt (our Target has them for under $10.00), one of those Disney magic washcloths, a small water bottle-you can personalize it yourself, a lanyard, Disney tattoos (if you can find them, that might be a toughy). I'm just typing as things pop into my head-I know all of this could be a bit much.

Have fun-I'm sure she will appreciate your sweet gesture:).

Hopefully, the $200 is just the "cash" she's taking and not her entire budget... that's about how much cash I usually take. I use kttk card (which she won't have "off-site"), debit card, and gift card for almost everything.

How about a water bottle holder? Walmart has them in the camping section for under a $1. They have a caribiner clip and draw string to hold a water bottle. You could also throw in some kool aid mix ins. Some coloring books, crayons, puzzle books, etc can keep the daughter busy on the way there. How about a disposable waterproof camera too. They are usually pretty inexpensive and the pictures taken from the childs perspective can be priceless. Barnes & Noble has a childs guide to Disney, maybe she'd enjoy that too.

A time table, with park hours, parade times, extra magic hours, etc would also be helpful.

Thanks for the ideas; Love the waterbottle holder idea (and I never knew where to find them:lmao:) Coloring books, crayons for the train ride sound like a great idea. Any idea where I could find an autograph book for her?

FYI, I'm not trying to micromanage her vacation; the examples I gave were to show that she has no plan, no clue. Yes, the $200 is spending money/budget for the week. Her mom will buying most meals I suppose, but she had no clue about prices of anything

I believe you could find an autograph book in a Disney store, if you have one near you. They do have them at the online Disney outlet starting at about $7.00, but you'd have to factor in shipping. They do run free shipping deals, but it's usually with a minimum purchase.

Good luck!

We have autograph books at the Dollar Store, Michaels, JoAnn, and private stores. I have also seen them at Target and Walmart.

You could also go to the creative design board on here and print off autograph pages to make a personalized autograph book. Also 1 of the designers has a paper doll design. I printed the paper doll design last year for my youngest daughter along with all the different paper doll clothing and accessories the designer has and my daughter loved playing with that the whole trip driving to and from. Another thing you could do is also get 1 of the designers to personalize a tshirt design for you to print onto transfer paper and iron on a tshirt. You can do all of this for only your ink paper and time.
