Need Help Quick -- MNSSHP or Other on Halloween??

We're planning a last-minute dash to WDW. We'll arrive on Halloween and ds wants to trick-or-treat. There are still tickets for MNSSHP -- but I've heard it's really crowded on 10/31. Do we do it anyway, or take him to Downtown Disney or the Boardwalk (I've heard there are activities at both). Any opinions are welcome!! TIA!!!

MNSSHP only has a limited number of tickets sold for each of the nights. So it is not crowded like an average day at the parks. We've never attended on Oct 31st, however, we have attended on a different evening that was sold out.

Again, crowded is all relative. Are you looking for just trick or treating? Or are you also looking to go on the rides? That would be what could make the decision for you.

MNSSHP is really magical. They have special activities not seen except then ~ one that springs to mind is the parade it was very HAlloweeny (is that even a word?) the floats were all special Halloween themed and the characters themselves were dressed in costume ~adorable. I highly recommend it. Next time we go we'll go to the party before Halloween and spend Halloween doing the other resorts and the BW. Can you go a few days early and do MNSSHP before Halloween?? If not I'd go to MNSSHP.

The only DVC ressie we could get was at Saratoga Springs starting on the 31st. So that's our only MNSSHP option. And I guess we're going to go for it -- we've done the party before, but never on Halloween. Hopefully if we're prepared for it to be a little crowded and go with the right frame of mind, it should be fine. Thanks for the replies!!
