Hi all,

I need help planning a trip to Boston, New York, Philly trip in June 2010. I am coming up with a blank.

New York has been easy to pick three things to do. So far I got:
Statue of Liberty
Empire State Building
Times Square
Ground Zero.

Does any have a Idiot's guide on how to use the Subway system in New York. We say down the street in the South it could be 20 to 100 miles out. Where I live we barely have bus system along a subway system.

Is there amusement parks Boston or Philly. I just looking for fun things for the kids.

Google is hard to use right now. I can't found the state guides to order brochures or anything.

Well I can speak for Philly and Boston, as I am from Philly and now live in Boston. Are you looking to stay in the city?

There are not amusement parks in either city, but rather some about an hour/hour and half away from each.

Both cities have ALOT of historical things to see. Some things I would recommend for each are:

Philly
Liberty Bell/Indenpendence Hall
Art Museum
Constitution Center
Franklin Park
Philly Zoo
Please Touch Museum
Reading Terminal Market
Duck Tour

Boston
Faneuil Hall
Freedom trail
Paul Revere House
Old State House
Cheers
Aquarium
Havard Sq
Duck Tour

There is a ton more to do that would require some travel outside the cities themself

Depending on the ages of the kids, Philly area has Dorney Park, Hersey Park, Dutch Wonderland and Six Flags Great Adventure as well as Sesame Place. An hour away are the casinos and beach in Atlantic City and a little further south are more beaches and small amusement areas.

NY MTA subway system has a great website that allows you to put in your destination and it will tell you what to catch to get there.

Thank You Thank You Thank You. That helps a lot.
