I was hoping the DIS would help out a bit! My neices and nephews are going down in a week or so. They range in age from 6-18. They've asked me (the family Disney Guru - as far as they know ;) ) to do up a scavenger hunt for them. It needs to be on the monorail loop and at the MK. I've got the kingdom pretty well covered, but It's been a long time since I've stayed at the Poly & GF...so, any ideas you could give me would be great.

They are looking for things that don't cost them money (given their ages!), some easy, some hard. I want a couple to really challenge them. I've downloaded various ideas from here and Deb's site, but there's not much on the hotels.

Thanks to any and all who can help!! Have a great night :)

In the kid area at Poly, by the front desk-it has chairs & tv. When we were there they had baskets out with petal & string to make flower lai's.

Maybe they could have pressed pennies made at each hotel. I think they all have their own designs. Or maybe a napkin with the hotel or restaurant name on them. Not sure how you could do the clues for these but at lest they're cheap! Oh, and how about getting a pilot's license for sitting in the front car of the monorail? I remember reading about someone doing this at the WS at Epcot a while ago. Sounds like fun. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestions (I already thought of those :p ) - lol!! It's not so much clues I'm doing for them as things they have to do. I won't tell them exactly where to go (for instance...find the hidden tinkerbell at the Poly) I know where it is, but they don't!

I guess what I was looking for was things that go with hotel lore. Like finding out about the wave machine at the Poly. I don't know if they already know that one though. Hidden theme things at each hotel.

Thanks again!!! Anyone else have anything?

Hmmm...how about things they have to find out about each of the Monorail resorts like "How many suites does the Polynesian have?" or "How many beds are in the Walt Disney Suite at the GF?" These are questions they could find out by having to ask a CM at the Check-in desks of the resorts. Or maybe answers to questions like "Name the different guest buildings at the GF" -- answers of course being "Conch Key, Sugar Loaf, Sago Cay, etc. etc." These would all be things to find on a scavenger hunt that wouldn't cost anything but the time to find out the answers;)

Hope this helps. If I think of anything else, I'll let ya know. I'm now starting to have fun with this post LOL.:D

There is a hidden mickey on the floor at the main entrance to the poly by the wall.

Why don't you have them collect signatures of various types of CMs (as long as it wouldn't be too annoying or inconvenient for the CM)?. I've done that with my cousins while we were on vacation (not at WDW) and both the kids and the hotel staff thought it was fun.

Thanks for the input...I hope to have enough to keep them busy for the day (and interested!!!). Thanks again :D

How about finding the goat w/ 5 legs in the Contemporary?
