Need help- I want to propose..

.. At Magic Kingdom & I want help from Belle. My gf is obsessed with Belle & Dr Who- so the ring is Dr Who theme- I want to have Belle read from River Songs diary during the story time & set me up to ask her after she reads a short letter I wrote. (That's the easiest way to explain my idea) - im not sure how to go about executing it. I've tried to contact people, but haven't found the right person. I'll be in MK on July 19th & that's when I want to pop the question. Someone suggested I get in touch with a Character Attendant, but I haven't had any luck. I'm running out of avenues. Help!!!

I'm pretty sure they have a script at Belle's storytime and I'm not sure they would allow Belle to read something that you present. Sorry if that's really negative, and maybe I'm wrong. But I would come up with a backup plan. I know Belle meets in Epcot (France), maybe you could propose during pictures there? Belle's storytime in MK would be more difficult I think. Maybe you could volunteer to be in the show and somehow do it at the end, when they let you take a pic with Belle?

I have seen videos where the characters are clearly in on the proposal. How would you even get them involved?

I would say contact Disney via their guest services to help you. But I do not think they are keen on their characters reading things that are not from their own universe and in all honesty I'm sorry, but I don't see it happening what you have in mind. Although I must say it is romantic

During Belle's Enchanted Tales is not really possible, especially because the room is filled with anxious children nervous to play their parts and anxious parents to film them. They might not all appreciate you stealing the thunder from their child. Also doing it at the end would not be ideal, as you would have to rush. The rest of the group cannot leave the show till the show is over and Belle has disappeared. Unless... you get the attendants to be in on it, and arrange that you could stay after everyone leaves and Belle comes back, but then reading River Songs Diary is still something I don't think will happen.

Other options are France or Akershus, but I think France is a better option, and you have more room to take pictures and it has a better backdrop. Plus not surrounded by dozens of nosy guests in the restaurant. It's also a little out of the way, so if your girl gets self-conscious on being the center of attention, she will be less noticed when you do it in France.

My suggestion would be: Lose your girl for a few minutes (say you have to go to bathroom, browse some shops whatever) at the end of one of Belle's sets. Before Belle leaves, go to the character attendant and let him/her & photopass in on your plan and decide on a return time. Return to your girl, suggest to see Belle at X time. What you need is Belle to distract your girl with questions about romance, romantic stories and princes (Belle must have something in her repertoire), your girl will need to have her back to you. You get on one knee and I'm sure at some point Belle will turn your girl at the right moment to face the other way.

If you want to use the Diary in your proposal, you best read from it yourself.

Depending on where you want to propose, you may be able to do some pre-planning, especially if you wanted to do CRT or one of the other restaurants. Other things like having characters participate not so much with preiplanning. Did you have any ideas? .

Well i`d love to try and get Belle involved, however, without really trying to pre-plan there is no way to really ensure pulling it off. I guess I would need a backup plan.

If you'd like in involve Belle a good way might be to do one of the Princess meals like BoG dinner (Belle's only at dinner) or Akershus or CRT (double check that she's at Akershus or CRT before booking- I don't know if she's still there now with BoG). It might be easier to prearrange something if you have an ADR and can work directly with the restaurant. Make sure you have a reservation for wherever you want to go obviously. But yeah, I think doing it at a princess meal might be your best bet.

I believe when we went in early 2015 she was there. Maybe I'm misremembering? Double check! I know for sure we met her at Akershus!

CRT does have a special engagement package. They have special ADRs for this and I am going to be doing this during our first morning in MK. You could also do Cali Grill and propose during Wishes. If you want to get Belle involved, I think you might have to get guest services in the planning.

I've been working proposal plans myself for a few months. It is difficult to have the characters involved (although they will be there and take pictures after the proposal). I was working on utilizing the Dapper Dans and decided instead to go with proposal by caricature. If you do it at a restaurant, see if you can identify who the manager is for that restaurant (just so you know, the directory is out of date, I was trying to get ahold of the manager at Artist Point and the wrong name was listed, but when I got through to the actual manager she was more helpful than you can imagine). If you are going with anyone else you could use them to help you set things up that day, although I'd have a backup plan if it doesn't work. Otherwise, tell her you need to do something and can you meet her later so you can set it up on your own.
