Need help deciding on the romace package

Here's my problem. I want to surprise DH with the romance package for our anniversary (our anniversary is two weeks before cruise) this October. The problem is when I casually mentioned doing a massage in the spa I asked DH if he would do it with me, he said he wasn't sure he would be comfortable doing it. When I pressed him, he said he might do it if I really wanted it, but he would have to see how he feels!!!

Should I book it anyway and hope he feels up to it, or should I try to plan something else? The main cost of the package is the massage, so it would probably be a waste of money if he won't do it. If I do book it and he doesn't want to do the massage, should I just go myself? I have nine months to work on him about it. What would everyone else do? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

A fellow cruiser on my upcoming cruise has the same issue, and they assured her that if he did not want to do that, they would work with her when they got on board to change it to another package. You can also choose a different treatment, it's not just the couples massage apparently. I'll quote my co-cruiser here:

I was given the option to pre-book a couples massage or a couples spa teaser. The massage is a couples version of the Well-Being Aromatherapy Massage. A full body massage with aromatic oils. "The smells are heavenly," according to CM Debbie. The spa teaser is a couples thing as well 25 minutes massage and 25 minutes facial. I choose the Well-Being massage. If DH does not want to join in, I will head to the spa the day before and try and book something for myself. This was per the CM's suggestion. From the tone of our conversation, I think she would have done that right then and there if I was really stressed about it.

Your DH might actually love getting that massage after all.
About a year ago, my DH said the same thing...He felt uncomfortable, would NEVER do it, etc...
Well about 6 months ago, I booked a couples massage for us and asked him to please just try it. He LOVED it! He was really happy he did it. He was relaxed and felt great afterward.
I bought this pkg too (a surprise for DH) as we will be celebrating our Anniversary on our upcoming curise too.

Also, like The4OfUs just wrote......If your DH just does not want to do it, you can change it to another package. It won't go to waste

My hubby was another one who never wanted to try a massage. The most he'd do was the hydrotherapy bath, no matter how much I tried to talk him into it. Once day I FINALLY got him to try one, and now he is hooked!
Same thing with the seaweeds wrap...he loves the Elemis Bath Synergies, so I knew he'd love the wrap. I think the paper panties were scaring him off because he kept refusing. On our three-peat, I forced him into it and now he loves the wraps even more than I do.

I think he would like it if he would just try it. I just have to find a way to get him to go.

Just in case I can't talk him into it, what other packages are there? I would still want to do something romantic.

Do you think it is possible to book two massages for me if he won't do it? LOL

I get so excited about stuff I doubt I'll be able to keep this secret from DH but I'm trying! LOL

I hope we do get to meet! We're also staying at the Radisson the night before...

Cindy, I'm not sure... (as this is all a first for me) I'm sure you could call DCL and find out.
