My wife and I will be at WDW from Jan. 10-15 (Mon. - Sat.) and I have the following dinner ADRs (we have the Basic Dining plan):

01/10 - Via Napoli
01/11 - 'Ohana
01/12 - Possibilities: Whispering Canyon, The Wave, Captain's Grille or Boma?
01/13 - Kona Cafe
01/14 - Le Cellier
01/15 - Depart

My wife isn't very adventurous so I'm not so sure about Boma. Basically I would like to know which of the Wednesday possibilities would be a good mix with the other ADRs I've already decided on. We're also open to other suggestions...we will be at HS that day until Fantasmic at 6:30. Thanks!

I would not care for Boma either. My sister went and she didn't like it at all. Out of your choices for that night, I have only been to Whispering Canyon Cafe and we all really liked it.

Edited to add that we really like Ohana, Kona Cafe & Le Cellier. Great choices!! :)

Thanks Carla!

Yeah, I was very pleased to land ADRs at all the places we felt we had to go to (the 3 places you mentioned). Now if we could just decide on Wednesday night!

I too am a picky eater and I was fine at Boma since it was a buffet and I could choose the items I wanted.

I would go with Boma also.:thumbsup2 There are always picky people (especially kids) at WDW, and you can find some kind of basic food at any WDW restaurant. So even your DW would probably be able to eat something there, and may even find something new that she likes.:goodvibes

If you want to stay at DHS for dinner though, we love 50's PTC.:lovestruc That place is fun and the food is great. It is all basic comfort food--meatloaf, pot roast, fried chicken... This is a must-do for us every trip.

captain's grille is delicious.... never a bad meal--nice variety--good location!!

We're big fans of the Wave. It's a healthy tilted menu, although I don't think much of the inside ambiance.

Captain's Grille is a close second. It's much easier to get to given where you'll be.

Since you're going to be at DHS, I'd go with Captain's Grill. We very much enjoyed our meal there, and the location is convenient to your park plans so you won't be joining the mass of people waiting for a resort bus after Fantasmic.

Boma is popular but unless you have a car that's a lot of bus time, first from DHS to AKL in the midst of the post-F! exodus, and then after dinner to a different park or DTD to catch the bus back to your resort.
