I can't decide which time for Sci Fi.
We have a FP for Slinky Dog for
6:45-7:45. The only dinner reservation times open are 6:15 and 7:25.
Sci Fi is a must for my granddaughter.
There will just be us 2 and it will be at the end of July.
I'm worried about SDD taking longer then we want since it is new, I mean with wait times.
Which of those 2 times 6:15 or 7:25 would be better with our SDD FP 6:45-7:45?

You can make either work. We spent about an hour at Sci-Fi eating. My concern about the 6:15 is that is a very busy time and you may end up waiting a while for a table. Showing up at 6 might get you in sooner, but no guarantee. you just have to tap the FP post by 7:30 or so.
I would probably take the 7:25. You can get in the FP line at 6:40. The ride hasn't been open long enough for anyone to have an idea of how long it takes to get through the FP line consistently. We enjoy taking our time at Sci Fi and watching the bad movies. Its so much fun.

Thank you! There seems to be a worry with both times. With the 7:25 I worry about being late for Sci Fi and I agree I dont want to rush with the 6:15 reservation. We love the atmosphere and old movies while eating. I keep checking for a better time but there has been none for the past 2 weeks. I will keep checking.

Take the 7:25 for now. Be at your Fastpass at 6:40. Even with Flights of Passage the FP line wasn't getting horribly backed up, but we don't have enough data to say for sure when it comes with SDD. It's simply too new. But at least with the 7:25 reservation you have a good amount of time. Keep checking for new times until the day of.

I would suggest using touringplans reservation finder if you haven't already. It has helped us many times to get a difficult to find reservation.

I would take the 7:25 - you can be 15 minutes late to Sci Fi. As other PPs said go to your FP a little early - so if there is a line by the time you get to the front it could be your time. Enjoy!

Yes I have it set up on Touring Plans. I love their reservation finder.

I would also take the 7:25 and be ready at the FP location at least 5 min early.

I don’t think the 6:15 would work unless you are *really* lucky with little to no wait and speedy service. It also means that you’d had to rush through your meal more than I like to.

I’d keep checking the ADR and FP sites to see if a better option pops up.

Thank you! I cancelled the 6:15 and now have 7:25.

Yes Sci Fi is usually 10 to 15 minutes behind anyway. Last year we waited about 10 minutes and when we got in there they a bunch of empty tables or cars, so not sure why the wait.

Maybe they didn't have enough servers to wait on those empty tables/cars.
