Need Help-1st week in April

Is anyone else going to WDW the first week in WDW? I am in GA and most of us are out the first week. Does anyone know what other school systems are out that week.
I am trying to get an idea of how crowded it will be and if I should upgrade to a Hopper pass.

We are in GA also and have the first week of April off for Spring Break. I have been during this week before and found that while the parks are not mob scenes, they will still be very busy and you should have a good plan before you get there and book any dining ahead of time for restuarants you do not want to miss or character meals. The last time, I felt the weather was alittle cool for swimming, not cold, but too cool for my southern blood! My son however did not seem to mind and swam at the hotel. You can never tell though. We were just in Orlando for Presidents' Week and the weather was in the 80's and you could definitely swim or go to a water park and be comfortable until very late in the day. Not sure if we will be down in April, but will definitely be down for Memorial Day week.

As far as hopping, I would definitely upgrade if you can. It is so worth it to be able to hop to another park if you want. We almost always start off at one park and finish the day at another.

We're from Indiana and we're going to WDW for Spring Break too during the first week of April. If it's anything like the last couple of years, half of the states of IN, OH, MI, and IL will be driving down with us---bumper-to-bumper on I-75---
So, we're taking I-65 to Montgomery, AL and then 231 down to I-10. Hopefully we'll avoid some traffic that way!

We are leaving March 31 and if it's anything like the last 2 years it will be very crowded. I would recommend ADRs for all your sit-down-meals and try to do the most popular rides early in the day before fastpass runs out. One thing we found out was the lines for many of the rides ( with the exception of Test Track, Mission Space, and I'm sure now Soaring) in EPCOT were not bad at all even without fastpass.

I was surprised also at how cool the weather was but I was told both times by CMs that it was unseasonably cold, so I am hoping it will be warmer this year.

I live in SC. I have kids in year-round school with a 2 week break and kids on a traditional calendar with 1 week. The traditional calendar gets out the second week.

I am going to WDW with my Dad to chaperone his middle school band the first week of April. He's from NC. I'd say it's safe to say they have the first week off.

I guess we'll all be there together!

Well, I must say, I am feeling a little bit like a dork these days!

We bought our first ever trip to DW, and will be there the first week of April but being from Canada, I never even thought about spring break. You see, here we refer to it as "March" break because, it is in March...next week for my guys! I thought by April, we'ld be just fine in DW!!! Duh!!!

Anyway, having never been there, we won't mind the crowds as we will have had nothing to compare it too anyway!

We're there first week of April....Spring Break too here in WA state, however, I figure since it's a days worth of flying to get there, only a few of us crazies are headed down your way. We'll see ya there!

We went during the first week of April last year, and with ADR's, fastpasses and a good attitude, you'll be fine! You will want the hopping feature though, since if a park gets too crowded, you'll be able to leave and either take an afternoon break at your resort and go back to another park later, or just head to another park without the break, (if you've got lots of stamina!) Although it was crowded, the perfect weather more than made up for it! I loved going in April! Have a great trip!
