We are travelling to London for our baltic disney cruise in July. I am just so indecisive and anxious about the flights.

At the moment, Air Transat is about $1500 less for our family of 5 than Air Canada or BA. For some reason Air Transat freaks me out. Should I just book now or wait and see if there is a seat sale with Air Canada or BA later?

I have no experience flying to London (from Vancouver) at this time of year, so I don't know how often seat sales might come out, or if this is probably going to be the best price I can get. I'm also worried if I wait too long, the prices might go up or all the seats get sold.

Any suggestions or experience with seat sales to London?

I spent much of Xmas vacation researching flights between yyz and bcn for our Disney cruise! The best fares I found were on the TD Visa Travel Rewards website (if you have their card). Fares really seemed to be all over the map. Check the individual airlines' websites - they're often different from what kayak or orbitz will find for you. Also look for fares out of SEA. Looking at Air Canada - the flights out of SEA, routing via YVR were significantly less than those leaving directly out of YVR. :confused3 Don't forget the US airlines - although I wouldn't want to deal with no carryons! Continental flies direct from yvr to Newark and then direct to LHR. I ended up booking Air France flights, direct to CDG and then to BCN. Good luck!!

We flew Air Transat to Manchester 2 years and had o trouble. Coming home the flight was with Air Transat but on A Canadian Affair plane. The Air Transat plane was smaller or at least more cramped but good service--on time and very friendly. We actually got lucky going over as there were lots of empty seats and the crew suggested we may want to spread out to be more comfy. Both my husband and I ended up with triple seats to stretch out on--I slept all the way.(it was a midnight flight out of Toronto) Good luck and hopefully more people will add their 2 cents.

Thanks for the input. I think that we might just fly Air Transat. AC's prices just went up by another $1000 (for 5)

Not sure if you have booked your flights, but I came accross this company, sounds like they sell Air Transat flights, but for the dates I was checking they were less expansive then booking direct.

I also checked out Canadian Affair, but at the end of the day, decided to book with Sears. Although it was $183.50 more than with CA, I received points that equalled $265 so I still ended up in the green, plus I have the added advantage of a TA looking after me.

Thanks anyway!

Flew YVR-LGW Oct 2008 and they were fine. I actually thought that the food and service was good.
