Need Contemporary room advice

I just got us a room at the Contemporary for the 1st weekend in October. We will have a standard room in the garden wing. I'm guessing that we will have a view of the parking lot... which I don't mind... we are not ones to hang out in the room.

Is there a recommended building or section that would be easiest for us (2 kids and pregnant mommy) to get to the eating areas and monorail?

Chances are you would eithet get a view of the convention center or the parking lot and the South Garden Wing is one building, so you don't need to request a specific one.

but somewhere on here I read that you should ask for a room close to the tower. Because we stayed there last year in the tower and I went over to the Garden Wing to wash clothes. Yes that is a plus being in the garden wing the laundry room is I believe on the 2nd floor. So you won't have to lug your laundry from the tower to the garden. Which is a real pain if you have little ones and have to do wash. It is a little bit of a walk to the tower/monorail, but it's not that bad. It's a straight walk pass the pool. You will love being at CR. The rooms are nice & big and very comfy. Enjoy.

P.S. I also heard if it's not a busy time of year you should ask when checking in if there's any free or maybe for a free bucks more upgrades to the tower. It can't hurt to try.
