Need Chicago info

My 16 year old just won concert tickets for Teddy Geiger at Shubas in Chicago. I need some info on this place if any one knows anything about it. IF we come in for it we will be coming in from Buffalo...so it's going to cost me big bucks for her free tickets! But she is on the guest list and will get to meet him so she is on cloud 9 right now (and 10, 11, 12 too!)

Thanks Dan. Teddy is an up and coming singer, 17 yrs. old and from Rochester. He was actually born in Buffalo though. He just relased a CD..pretty mcuh boy band stuff. She won it on-line through his website. The concert is April 16th...doesn't give me a heck of a lot of time to plan this is her Dad says it's ok for us to go.

Schuba's is nice, its a small venue (if I remember correctly) and a bar. And I think its on Southport (I love that street) great places to eat etc.

So what hotels might be in that area? I've been looking at maps of the area and it is hard to judge what would be close.

I'm sure there are hotels there, but you may want to stay in the mag mile/loop area and either take the "L" or a taxi. I know the Hyatt near Michigan on the river has been on Hotwire, then you can do a bunch of other fun stuff.

Thanks..I just got a rate at the Hilton for 116.00 a night..didn't book it yet, cause I'm still not sure if we are going. Catie is offering to apy for the trip herself, so who knows...waiting to see what Dad says. The kids are off school that week for their spring break so school isn't an issue luckily.

It's the Hilton on South Michigan Avenue. Looks like a very nice hotel. It is a special internet rate. Now my problem is finding cheap airfare if we decide to actually do this.

Does Spirit fly from where you are? They are running this $9.00 each way special my DH heard on the news last night.

No, unfortunately they don't. The cheapest flight I am getting through the airlines websites is about 185.00 roundtrip. Haven't tried things like expedia yet
