Need carry-on suitcase

Bumping. We have one carry on piece that rolls, I am looking for a second rolling piece to carry on. Saw the ebags Mother Lode mini rolling duffle and it looks like it could fit the bill. Seems to have a little more structure than the LL Bean medium rolling duffle.

I own what I like to call the PERFECT carry-on.

First of all - BUY A SPINNER! A suitcase that has 4 wheels and can roll tilted like a traditional two wheel piece of luggage - BUT since it has 4 swivel wheels - you can push it as well. That comes in great handy in line situations (security - waiting to board - in line at resort check-in etc etc etc)

Mine has two front pockets (one is the perfect size to hold travel documents - the other perfect size to hold a book and other travel necessities)

Then the SHAPE is what really had me at hello - it is SHAPED like an overhead compartment - so it only occupies 1/4 of the compartment overhead - and it is very roomy - enough to hold a change of clothes - shoes - and then my park-bag (messenger bag that I carry in the parks) which I load with my iPod - large headphones (to drown out engine noises) and all of the park necessities so that we can check the bag at bell services - grab the park bag - and head out if our room is ready or not!

I kinda have it down to a 'science' as far as what to pack in my carry-on.

But anyway - my bag is a Sampsonite series that we bought on Clearance at Elder Beerman (regional department store) for around $50.00 - when luggage pieces in that line usually start at around $200.00 - so we got a great price on it - but it is an incredible piece of luggage - has padded pull handle - and leather clad carry handle.

But my advice - DEFINITELY buy a swivel!

I bought my kids Delsey from Kohl's during their 30% off sale plus. I think I paid about $70/bag and I love them. They're light, have an expandable top to fit A LOT more stuff (but won't fit into overhead if expanded). If it's top heavy, it doesn't tip over as it has "legs" on the front/bottom to rest on. The wheels are great and smooth. The telescoping handle is very quick and smooth. They also have a lot of inside storage options, baggies, nets, straps, etc.

Oh jeez, I had no idea you already selected a bag, LOL. Matter of fact, I didn't realize this thread was as old as it is! Oh well, I'm getting some good suggestions here as I need a carry-on for our upcoming November trip.
