Need car rental help please

We will be taking ME from the airport to the POR next week. However, I want to rent a minivan/SUV from somewhere around the hotel for 10/29 - 11/5 and return it to the airport when we leave.

We do not use credit cards, only our VISA debit card. What is my best choice for this situation?

I have tried Alamo and gotten quotes just under $500 for that week. I do not understand their code system, am I doing something wrong? Can anyone please help, I am getting very frustrated? Are there any other rentals that accept debit card.

Call National at the Disney Car Care Center and see if they will accept the debit card.

If they will, go to nationalcar.com and put in the car care center as pickup and MCO as drop-off. Use VISA Contract ID 5005338 and the $25 off coupon ND9172JDF from the National web site. A standard SUV will come out to $282 with taxes.

you can get a minivan from dollar for 187.96 on their website

click specials on top line, then put in orlando and click location, it will bring up grosvenor hotel as first choice, (that is close to DTD), then return to MCO, put in your dates, 10.29-11.5, click minivan as car choice, put in KISS2 for promo code, and use oi1054 as corporate code, then click select, it will give you the rate.
the corporate code is from mousesavers, if you go to mousesavers.com and go to rental car section click on dollar and at the bottom you can print out the orlando magicard, present that at the counter and you get a free additional driver.
ETA: they take debit cards, but they have extra process for that, check their webiste for details, or call them.

Most rental agencies accept debit cards and most put a large hold on the debit card.
alamo and national will accept a debit card with proof of round trip travel.
Each rental agency lists their rules for payment. It would be wise to check them.
